Yup. I watched some THE fan sites on You tube after the game. Turns out the Dawgs somehow made the turf slipperier for THE team than for themselves. Smith didn't fake Ransom into the portal, they conspired that slip. I did not know that!
Well Bird ****, I have to hand it to you.....The Dawgs definitely had the "Home Field Advantage"......looks to me that TOS covered those 7 points....It's difficult to believe anything coming out of PODUS' mouth, REALITY is Red and Black and the DAWGS won......millions of viewers will verify that fact....TOS has defensive problems, The DAWGS had Officiating problems,ie: holding was only called once despite the 100's of textbook examples ...Maybe TOS depends on luck....seems to have run out....There is no such thing as luck when it comes to GEORGIA football, REALITY tells any intellectually honest observer that with the DAWGS, if you're on the field, you are a starter and to be a starter you must always strive to be ELITE!
There are always other fan bases that join @DawgNationDaily, just to make excuses. SAD.
7 players with a 20 yard catch, or with a 20 yard play? If catch, that's super impressive. Didn't know, UGA had that many receivers. LOL. (With all the narrative talk about the lack there of).
And could someone please investigate the turf monster that attacked Macintosh. LOL.
What both playoff games showed yesterday is, it's hard to stop teams that can pass. If you have good enough QB's and receivers, if the QB gets enough time to throw, you can make it hard on your opposition, period!
TCU and Michigan was one big play after the next with some runs mixed in. Wildest game I can remember in terms of just one big play after another!
Ohio St. same way, Stroud was as good as advertised. Great receivers and he could put it on a dime if not pressured. BUt the kicker is UGA out passed and out ran Ohio St. in yardage. SB had 400 yards passing and still left some on the bone with some poor throws and poor reads.
I look for the NCG to be more of the same. Who can make more plays than the other guy.
Ohio State lost that game despite scoring 41 points and holding Georgia to 2-10 on third down and 0-5 on third down in the second half. Difficult to believe Ohio State lost that game. Both teams have defensive issues. Georgia was lucky to come out on top .and had the advantage of playing a defacto home game.
With Smith and Mitchell back, our WR corps is loaded. Mitchell has the potential to be another bigtime X receiver, in the mold of Harrison and Quentin Johnson. Smith? He's just a freak of nature -- Usain Bolt with good hands.
Great to have Mr. Smith back. He's a bad dude for sure.
He will be a critical player against TCU.
Go, Dawgs!
Arian Smith should have been the offensive MVP of the game. But the play of the game was Bullard's crushing blow on Harrison. With Harrison in the game, Georgia had no chance to come back. It was a classic example of what Kirby teaches every game: leave your mark on the other guys, and Bullard delivered. So did AD, Brock and Ladd. And of course, Kirby's timely timeout. All of these were critical plays, but Bullard's was the biggest.
It was a fantastic play and event by Arian that will live in my memory bank well into my 70’s.
Unlike Cornpop, it actually happened, and I am a grateful Dawgfan for that!
Great timing with the return of Smith and Mitchell, especially witn McConkey less than 100%.
