Solution: test all players twice a week at practice as well as two days before each game; close the game to only the televising crew, essential football coaches/personnel and the qualified players (no attending spectators). Air the game and watch viewership set new records every week. Problem solved. Don't let the kids lose twice. Canceling a football season is not only un-American, it is downright anti-everything right and good in the world.
Come on NCAA, grow a pair and lead in this thing. The players and coaches should be given the right to choose whether or not they play.
Who's with me?
Thank gosh we can weather a potential CV storm...
Great article in SI today about the realistic possibilities of an abbreviated, postponed, or potentially cancelled 2020 college football season...some serious decisions may have to be made by the end of May or so.
man, where are all the McGarity haters now? I remember comment boards being on fire with rage about the audacity of having a reserve fund!
DallasDawg said it all! UGA is supported by extreme loyalists such as the Magill Society and others who know how business works and that there will be times of poor and times of plenty. Their "rainy day" conservatism is what makes this university one of the best in the country. I am proud to be a DAWG!
Nice article. I'm just grateful for the fiscal prudence and vision of all the athletic directors, past and present, as well as those loyal Bulldogs in the Magill Society. It seems that their combination of smart, conservative fiscal leadership, mixed in with some liberal generosity, is going to position UGA Athletics to hit the ground running full speed when this pandemic passes. Go Dawgs!
