I like this young man because of the following exchange right here:
Is there a sliver of hope there for the Bulldogs? He does not expect to visit any more schools.
“Nah,” he said. “Shut down. Locked. With a hundred locks on there.”
I wish I heard stuff like the more often from the guys we supposedly have committed. Instead, we get all of this equivocation after they're supposedly 100 percent committed, then we (fans and some media) start making excuses for them: ("This is a lot of pressure for a teenager;" "This is the biggest decision of their lives"; "This is something they'll have to live with the rest of their lives so we should cut them some slack.")
Baloney. After a few trips around the recruiting circuit, 99 percent of these kids know exactly what they're getting and not getting at these respective schools. And once they commit, that ought to be it. Really, once you commit, why even visit other schools unless you think there's at least A CHANCE, however slight or remote, that you can be persuaded to change your mind? And if that chance exist, then you aren't 100 percent committed.
So let's get some of these guys with "a hundred locks" on their UGA commitment, instead of these guys that are "pretty solid to UGA, but still want to see what else is out there." Go Dawgs!
Things do change, and can change again. Ya never know. Without a doubt, the running back room at Miami will look nothing like the running back room at UGA. Go Dawgs!
We need 1 more running back in this class. It didn't need to be Chaney Jr. Kirby has a plan. He has showed us all that before! No worries.
UGA is not for everybody (I really don't know why, but it is). Let's get those that have talent and really want to be Dawgs and wish those who don't fit that profile luck against anyone but us (and maybe a couple of other SEC members).
