Brian Kelly's priest: "So that's 5 'Hail Mary's' for cheating, 5 'Hail Mary's' for lying about it, and 10 "Our Fathers' for losing to UGA."
Concussion protocol - what a joke. That was the quickest concussion assessment I've ever seen because he was back in the game on the next series and played the remainder with no problems.
Classless act of desperation from a classless coach. Too bad it cast a bad light on an otherwise classy organization. Kelly sounds like the leaders of Iran after it is proven they initiated an attack. Keep denying till your blue in the face. Eventually, someone will believe you.
Thanks for the anonymous dv (sans comment) – just knowing that sanctimonious posers like you exist among our fan base is discouraging enough without you identifying yourself. People with your attitude are the reason I grew up hating GT and TENN.

When the "injured" player is walking off just fine and is pulled to the turf (tackled) by a teammate behind him--I'm sorry, what else are people supposed to think about that? I'd like to see the full context for that moment backing up the film to what happened on the play. That might clear Kelly or further condemn him.
If it's as widespread as Kelly says, I'm sure Kirby knows about it also. And IF it's true, we should have a couple of designated floppers of our own -- if we don't already.
I heard Lou Holtz talking before the game on UGA radio, said ND had one advantage, they were bringing their officials.
I'm not implying they were for the other team. I think they likely tried to call it fair.
Holtz said, ND knows how the officials will call the game, what they can and can't do, etc.
Looks like the ACC officials had no problem with the delay tactics, and like Holtz said, ND knew they could get away with it.
I for one think it's a punk move. I hope Kirby never tells his defense to do it.
Play the game like a man. That's why Georgia calls it "Grown Man Football."
Translation: “Yeah, we did it. So what? We’re Notre Dame and we can do what we want and get away with it.”
It must have been a bad concussion. He didn't even know he had it. Only after the player behind him got information about the concussion from the coaches was he able to pull the player down and tell him about his concussion.
It was a rare case of eye cramps. Don’t judge unless you’ve had them yourself. The only treatment is eye drops and then, thankfully, you can return to a contact sport within moments after the eye drops are applied. It’s really a miracle drug. As far as the concussion, I’d bet my house The young man is cleared to play against Virginia in six days.
This is beneath a school like ND to basically cheat like that. That’s something you might see at Awbarn or FL, but not ND. Pretty lame.
Anytime I have ever had a bad cramp, I immediately grabbed the area of the leg where the cramp was occurring. The guy never did such. Coaches who teach young, impressionable minds such tactics in life where so many have already bought into the mindset that winning trumps all - even scruples.
Kelly can “bristle” all he wants. You can believe the Notre Dame admin & fans didn’t like it either. That’s not what a team that rich in tradition & history practices or teaches/coaches. They should at least be warned by the NCAA but we all know that isn’t going to happen as it would make too much sense.
Even his response to the question shows a hint of deception: " evaluated for a concussion." Fake injury and fake treatment. The Irish should not be proud and Bryant should have apologized, instead he went all in on the lie.
If UGA ever pulls this unsportsmanlike crap I pray they own it like honorable men!
Glad we beat them and can move past this.
The booing wasn't directed at the player, it was directed at the coaching staff for obviously calling for the player to do the faking.
He “suffered” an evaluation? He must be one of those guys that starts saying “ouch” when the nurse swabs his arm with the alcohol wipe.
asking the question because it was so obvious... i guess the 2nd guy got "cramps" ... in his eye? because he was not treated for cramps he got eye drops. it was rediculous and bush league. but guess what no matter how hard they tried to stop UGA .. we still came out on top. GO DAWGS!
Hmmmmmm, I've never seen a player suffering from cramps being treated with eye drops. Just an observation after they got him over to the sideline.
