I remember clearly a kid named H. Walker coming from the smallest region in Georgia and there were doubters who said he was going to get a wake-up call when he played against the big boys. His first game he faced big boy Bill Bates in Knoxville and drove him backwards into the end zone. Go Dawgs!!!
The competition you play as a QB matters and just because he's beast at 1A doesn't automatically means he's a beast at 7 & 8 A. QB is the hardest position to play in all of team sports. I hope the kids exceeds all expectations but let's allow him at least one practice before we "crown him" in my Dennis Green voice.
i am by no means a QB expert, but when i watched his highlight video from a couple days ago, it seemed to me, on most his throws, his release point is low, almost side arm to 45 degrees. It's a quick release, but when i watched both QBs last night they seemed to throw much more over the top.
