One reason might be that Kirby hired t Southen Cal's DB coach, mainly for recruiting California. Kirby needs to take over the DBs
playing Everette instead of Ellis is just plain dumb. Of course, Humphries can’t cover either. The secondary is just plain bad. The question is why! We know those guys are good athletes. What’s the next obvious reason? No need to say it.
Kirby needs to play the young guys at Defensive Back. No#12, is lost in the secondary.
No pass rush, no sacks, a freshman starting QB with 306 yards passing. Who's teaching these young men how to pressure the QB?
Next week will be rough if we don't make some improvements very very quickly. We appear to be regressing weekly as a team.
Kirby's DBs rarely see the ball - never have - have been taught to **** the hands. That's why our weakness throughout Kirby's tenure has been the deep ball. When we give them time to throw it, we lose more than 90% of 50/50 balls because the receiver sees the ball and we don't. And don't even get me started on the wheel routes . . .
