Because UGA has one of the highest blue chip rankings in CFB. That means depth. Because MS St is really bad. Because UGA, even playing well below its standard, is 1 bad quarter from being undefeated. This team is still talented and good. We're mostly talking about 2 players Wilson and Hall. Though MWilliams has clearly been limping around and less effective. UGA will need a big game from him vs TX. Because squeaking by vs MS St with a less comfortable win (UGA is a 33 pt favorite and at home) and having more players healthy for a must win game vs TX is the smart play.
You have to wonder if UGA rests Brock Bowers until the SECCG last year does that change the outcome?
I don't mind the reports. I just don't understand why all the secrecy around this particular player and his injury? Kirby has talked about everyone else, but on Mondon, there's nothing. I'm wondering if he isn't going to be out for the rest of the season and Kirby just doesn't want to tip his hand.
After last week's outcomes, why would we EVER take any game or team for granted? Especially this year when we clearly aren't as strong across the board as in some past years? We need to play our first string, as long as we need to play them, and worry about Texas when we actually play Texas. It's this exact kind of mentality that got Alabama and Tennessee beat last week. I just hope our players don't fall for it.
Smael Mondon -- lower body -- out
What the hell is a lower body injury…hate these vague BS reports
Would love the two questionable guys to get a few live reps if their bodies cooperate. Coming back from injury straight into a road game like Texas feels non-ideal. But then again, I've never been a collegiate football player
Maybe a drive or two worth of snaps to get the body used to it, re-acclimatize, etc
Should be able to beat MS St with all 2nd teamers. Let anyone dinged up rest up and heal up for TX in 1.5 wks.
Good C&P filler for 3 stories.
Put someone on the comment feature glitch DN. Annoying.
