It helps to have a rock to hold on to, for these young inexperienced players, the Dawgs are using. If you stick those guys in there with an inexperienced QB, they won't get near as much out of it.
Notice that Bennett didn't run the ball much, in this game...even in the Red Zone or 3rd/4th down situations. Instead Monkin relied on his arm...which they could have been doing, all year. That was on purpose. They were protecting Bennett. Without him, their chances of repeating are slim.

It was 35 to 10 at halftime Gary Danielson!
Of course LSU was going to get a ton of pass yards in the second half!!! Talking about whoever UGA plays that there will be passing yards available, 🙄🙄🙄🙄
What a fool he is.
Every game that plays out like that the losing team gets tons of yards in the second half…It’s a Championship conference game, not a game with a CHUMP team on one side like the BIG 10 Championship is about to be!!!

Secondary is dependent on the front 7 so I believe it makes a huge difference. Any QB with that much time will be able to wait for receivers to open up.

Agree but take away the 2nd drive by LSU and they had it shut down. Not a fan of the game plan but with this big of a lead, UGA is just trying to keep them in front. Not a great performance and hope they can get tighter.

It hasn’t been our first string defense since there were 14 minutes left in QTR 4.
The ENTIRE front 7 on D is number 2 and 3 guys.

7 minutes left in the game, and LSU has 461 yards of passing in a game where we knew they were going to have to pass to win.
We look pitiful in the secondary, and we're probably going to go up against either CJ Stroud or Max Duggan first in the playoffs. Kirby has got work to do.

I hope you're right. But a bad qb in the 1st half, still threw for over 200 yards. While injured some.

Ringo #5 completely gave up on that play watching the QB 35 yards down the field in the end zone.
I know the game is over, but this is riculous.

Is Kelee Ringo the most overrated player you have ever seen at the CB position? If he doesn’t get the INT, he is below average! If I was Ohio State or TCU, I’d throw his way every play

I’m not overly concerned with the pass coverage given DAWGS seem to be playing lots of prevent here. If they played tight like they did on the first half, it would likely look better. My take anyway.

Oh my goodness. Danielson get bama out of your mouth. He is still pushing for bama.
I h a t e when UGA gets a penalty. Kirby doesn't even try and pick up a first down. If he throws the ball on 3rd down, probably picks up a 1st down and can bleed the clock.

@navydawg...McConkey was standing (not sitting) in street clothes on the sidelines. I'm hoping that means it's not serious and just playing it safe. Don't know about McClendon or Smith.
And I'd be surprised if Ohio State jumps any higher than #4. But, either Duggan or Stroud would tear today's Dawg secondary apart.

I SURE don’t know but the TV guys said we Might be playing TCU even though they loss. And Ohio St. repeat vs Michigan. But like I said I’m clueless

I don't understand how we can cover receivers so poorly today, but we totally shut down Tennessee's passing game?!?
