Blessings to Netori and his family. I wish he would have stayed and gotten that degree from UGA. Thank you for your time here big fella!
Wished it could have worked out for Netori but Kirby knows you have to win the trenches and he recruits heavy there. Thanks for your time Netori and thank you for picking a school outside the SEC. I don't fault a young man who aspires to play the game at the school he loves, gives it his best shot for several years and when it's obvious his role is not going to fulfill his aspirations, he searches out a place where he can get that opportunity.
Netori Johnson to Middle Tennessee State.... hope you do well and good luck in your new program.
Clemson is losing a lot on offense. Their RB and best WR are gone, Lawerence is gone. They have not recruited elite people at WR, RB and OL like we have. They will be much weaker on offense this year compared to last.
This is great news...It's time to make another run at the East, SEC title, playoff win and play and win a National Championship in 2021
Oh My!!!! If we could somehow find a way to get Arik Gilbert and Big Cat Bryant back to their home state and play for UGA....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........!!!!!
Camarda and Salyer coming back now have me convinced will be in the playoffs. Hoping Adam Anderson desires a Natty too. If Anderson recommits for another year, I will be booking tickets to Indianaoplis in January, 2022.
I have never been so excited about a season this early. The stars appear to be aligning for 2021!
Go Freaking Dawgs Go!
I’m a big Kearis Jackson fan. I believe that If he has a Full and Normal off season to practice. And If he stays at or really close to 100% healthy this young man could (and If JT targets him allot) could mimick D. Smith the Heisman guys performance. Yeah I did say that. Thing is with Pickens who I believe will have a Huge year and Burton and hopefully Blaylock, Arian Smith and others Kearis can only get targeted so many times. But when he does get the ball thrown to him Look Out !! I also think he made a Very wise decision by coming back. He needs this year to sharpen his craft even more to showcase to the NFL. Look for Pickens, Jackson, Smith, Burton, and if he shakes the rust off fast enough Blaylock (and there are others to) to have a Huge season !! JT gonna have a stellar cast to throw to !!
So glad Davis is returning, wyatt also. We relly dont need white back, but he should return for his draft status, but then again would it get any better for him, especially with reduced carries next season? Prolly not, he should go now.
CKS basically has the best of both worlds for this defense next year, got too keep the best Dlinemen and still add alot of young talent also!
I think Lecount shoulda returned and I wish JJohnson woulda stayed also. I think him leaving shows that Adam Anderson is next up to fill Ojulari's pass rushing for the defense or he woulda stayed I think. I heard he left cuz of his dad, which was really dumb even if AA is up next they always have 2 or 3 rotate. JJ and AA woulda dominated together in 2021!
Here is my wish list
Perfect world- retunees- JDavis, Dwyatt, Mherring, Aojulari, , Mrice, Estokes, Rlecounte, ty cambell, JJohnson, JT daniels, kearis , trey hill,
leave for NFL or transfer- white, cook, shaffer, mckitty , cleveland, djdaniels, mcbride, webb njohnson, dmathis, mtongue, landers, camarda, rochester, drob, qwalker
If it woulda played out this way.....OMG it coulda been **** for everybody UGA played next year!! lol Just look at the first 9 names of my wishful returnees, all from defense! 7 returning starters from defense, with a 1st team all sec player or 2 at each level of the defense- dline, LB's, and the secondary.
Hey, it's my **** dream like it or leave it. No matter what, I'll still keep on wishing for stuff that prolly wont happen, but dammit I know I will still continue to wish for some more shyt, just in case I have one come true!! lol
GO DAWGS!!!
so while the Kearis Jackson announcement was put at the top of the article finally, at the bottom he is still listed as waiting to make a decision. Why can't this all be updated at the same time?
Welcome back MR. Jackson!! Work to be done. I think the guys can smell something brewing!
I hope Zeus can increase his speed a little and become a true break- away back. He seems to have lost a little speed after his surgeries. Maybe he can regain it in the off season, not work on heavy lifting as much as speed and agility. He just seems to lack that little something extra.
Kenny has a lot of upside to me. He proved in the Peach Bowl he's a trustworthy pass catcher. he seems to almost break one each game but someone get's a shoestring tackle on him. He (for whatever reason) seems to have to dodge the most defenders in the backfield than the others. Be nice to see him get a few seams to run through.
Edwards is a tackling nightmare with maybe the best grinding out a run for the buck, but seems to lack a little speed.
Cook is probably better as a receiver and end-runs as he seems fairly easy to bring down if you get your hands on him.
Milton is a beast in size and combination of everything you need. Not sure if he has developed the vision he needs yet to make the cutbacks. That should come with time. But what a specimen.
Heard on 92.9 the game that Tank Bigsby could be looking to transfer to UGA. Just the messenger.
And what makes it even worse, is BOTH of our Azeez's are leaving? Can just 1 of them stay? 😂
Sorry to see Webb go, but ecstatic to see Davis stay. If we can stay healthy, get strong leadership from Cine in the D backfield, o line gels, our path to the SECCG is wide open. As far as Clemson, what's the word on their receivers going or staying? Looking forward to Charlotte.
It appears Adam Anderson is now the next most important player that we need to remain after the mass exodus from the LB room. What in the world was Jermaine Johnson thinking by leaving?!
I see no way White enters the draft. If he returns, I hope CKS and Monken are truly able to discern which RB gives us the best chance for a first down on every play and give touches accordingly, not based on star rating or tenure. I sometimes feel CKS can be too loyal to players with more experience.
Connor strikes again. If you are going to cut and paste into a previous article, you may want to take a couple minutes to make sure the new information doesn't conflict with the old/original. Apparently we have two Tyson Campbells on the team. One that still has a decision to make and another that is headed to the NFL.
You are going to have this year moving forward 20-35 players a year leave, go pro, graduate or transfer every year... That is an extra attrition rate more than likely around 10-15 players over a normal years attrition.
So, the portal is in essence a recruiting platform for all to see both in good ways to replenish positions that might need additional player head counts or in a very bad way as to players that might not have transferred and stayed see opportunities to enhance their snap counts at another program.
What does all this mean? Well the head coach and his staff are going to have to Re-Recruit almost every player on the roster during the season and after bowl or playoff games.
This pace of recruitment will not be sustainable and look for in the very near future....very defined time lines directed from the NCAA or a new CEO of college football that are much more defined and streamlined . It's needed as this current system will be riff with recruitment cheating the likes we've never seen before!
Come on back next season Jordan and help us get that elusive ring. MOve up to top tier in draft and PASS GO!!!!.
I understand that Landers was going to enter the portal yesterday, but he dropped the pen.
Best of luck to you Mr. Landers!
J. Johnson and possibly Tongue are the only two transfer portal entries that hurt. Landers, Netori, Mathis and Blount free-up some needed scholarships! Win-win.
The video of Davis is a little mysterious, could go either way. At face value, it could be interpreted as a player looking forward to how he and his teammates are going to do next season, using "we" in the most literal sense. The emotion, though. He seems wistful, like he's experiencing some bitter-sweetness. It could mean he's glad to have left his team in a good position as he moves on.
Hope JT stays !! Hope Big Jordan Davis stays. Several others. Wish the very best to those that go not only in the NFL but life in general. Go Dawgs !!
The League is a brutal place, you are a dime a dozen if you arent top tier in the draft. For many all they will get will be their signing bonus, so better make it count. I know for any kid coming out of college and seeing any contract over 10$ an hour probably seems like you're suddenly rich, but it's an illusion. Think long and hard about what really matters and where you will go in the draft. Get multiple opinions and let your ego go.
My advice to 2020 rookies: DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. That number you see on your contract is fake. You will pay roughly 40% to 50% in taxes, agent fees, union dues, 401k account + necessary insurance. Also, a large portion of your contract is NOT GUARANTEED. (1/5)

didn't JT Daniels say he was coming back today, so shouldn't this article be updated?
Love my DAWGS!!!! Played with such gut and determination. They never laid down. Proud of all the guys the suited up for the game.
Already looking forward to 2021 and JT stick around...........
Wow, a SM post like that from Daniels, and not a peep in the comments section. I guess people had already assumed he was staying? Even still, that's a big deal! Go JT and Go Dawgs!
I hope they all return except for Webb, Robertson, Hill, and Shaffer. I just don't think we would miss them all that much. I'm glad Azeez played in the Peach Bowl because I think it was the right thing to to do. But I don't necessarily agree that he vastly improved his draft stock by playing. It's nice for us as Dawg fans that he played so well, but I think NFL scouts already know what he can do. The Peach Bowl just confirmed that. If he does well at the Combine, I think he can sneak into the first round. If just average, he'll probably go to the second round. But what I'd like to know is whether his little brother is still contemplating leaving LSU and if so, would UGA be a likely landing spot for him?
I think he's more than likely done with football, unless he goes to coaching.
Azeez has the best chance of all players in this draft. Maybe a late 1st, but probably 2nd. Was watching Chase Young last night. I wonder if Azeez stayed one more year could he moved up to be a top 5 pick!
2-3 rd they should go . if not it's a crap shoot. Good luck to them all. I hope Nate McBride gets a chance in someone's camp.
If SEC football can safely play a 10 game season, spring practice and summer workouts should be no problem. That will be huge for the young players that have some big shoes to fill and all the QBs!
All of those who have not announced will only help their status by returning except, maybe, Jordan Davis. I think Jordan is a late first round early second round choice, but could slide a little lower than that. I think, with a good year next year, he could be a top 10 choice.
I am also waiting to see whether any of our coaches hop on the college or or NFL Carousel over the offseason, and who we might pick up as a coach or an off-field hire.
A couple of these kids might be early-ish rounders, so have a decent chance of sticking and maybe even excelling in the league. I suspect for at least another few, they're really struggling with the simultaneous grind of serious academics and big-time balling... so rather than continuing to suffer, might as well take their chances on pursuing only the latter. But surely several have been sipping cool aide... they aren't as ready as they've been told they are by their "advisors", won't get drafted high if at all, will likely have short-lived pro careers because they won't be getting the "development" they need, and very possibly wish they'd completed that college degree that was there for the taking. In any case, they're blessed to have such choices, and I hope their hard work next year (wherever that might be) gets them closer to their dream. Go Dawgs!
With all the players that have the option of leaving, thanks for nothing Conner, that is the worst article I have ever read. SMH. Just saying.
COME BACK DAWGS!!!!!!
I hope Azeez Ojulari moves way up in the draft to convince those players who opt out that showing your ability in a post-season game is a money-making proposition.
We need many of the aforementioned defensive players and Jamaree to stay but I pray Davis stays, we desperately need him on defense next year.
DJ Daniel and Mark Webb in particular. They should move to S to have a better chance at the NFL. Otherwise they're Arena League bound.
Jordan Davis has that winning attitude, he'd be a great leader in 2021. Best of luck in your upcoming decision, young man. Hopefully it's 1 more year in Athens..GoDAWGS!
Few of those leaving or thinking of leaving have much of a chance to be drafted in the early stages where the big money is.
Many of them will be better served sticking around to play again next season.
We've seen too many Dawgs get bad advice and listen to it.
Go, Dawgs!
