Had some good years at UGA. We will never see that type of longevity in a coaches career again with the at 715% WP and 1 NC...... CMR 740%.

Not a hater nor big fan of Vince Dooley. I’m Jewish and Dooley and the powers-that-be at UGA in the early 70’s didn’t want Jews and blacks at UGA. This is fact. Do some independent digging and research and you’ll find it all to be true.
Secondly, the Power G on the 50 YL; Dooley fought tooth and nail to not have it put on the field. In fact, he’s solely responsible as AD for it taking so long to get done.

So glad this happened for Coach Dooley. I was able to talk my dad into skydiving once and we happened to be there and go up in the plane with Coach and his son back in 1992. Amazing experience and an amazing coach.

I think you guys covered that very well. Some very few people are so special that words cannot do justice, Coach Dooley is one of those.

I wish they had aired the ceremony on a TV station. All the stations in Atlanta dropped the ball on this important day in Vince Dooley's life. Another thing Beth Mowns doesn't have a grown up sounding voice to be doing grown men football on ESPN 2. She sounds like one of the munchins in the Wizard of Oz movie.

Coach Dooley will always be MY coach. He was the embodiment of UGA to me from before I arrived on campus in 1977 right up until today. Is it just me, but does that Dooley Field sign look just a little, well, I'll say underwhelming??? I was expecting something more. This looks sort of like they found some guys in the back shop to just paint a sign somewhere.
