Why would the brace be removed in the first scrimmage of the fall? Absolutely no sense in not giving a repaired knee all the protection possible. I have seen many players, especially quarterbacks and linemen, wear knee braces in game action. The brace is more problematic for running backs, receivers and running (dual threat) quarterbacks than other positions because of the need to change directions "on a dime". Regardless, keeping the brace on Daniels makes very good sense to me.
Buck and Herschel.....Buck oughta know. The two made UGA history. JT Daniels may well "fit" better than Newman but he has to be 100% healthy to meet the "fit" criteria. I simply do not see JT anywhere near 100%..still wears the ACL support brace. What about scrimmage?... Can the brace be removed? You do not ballyhoo a QB in a brace...not this year. D'Wan Mathis has to be the default starter...IMO.
