I agree up to a point with UGA not being included. UGA may not have impressed Coach O (who really cares) but I would like to see LSU play Georgia without JaMarr Chase, Jefferson only 2nd half, Edwards-Hilaire 3 total plays & their 3rd wideout Marshall out after 1st qtr. That's basically what UGA did with their missing players. BTW - I was at the Fla game and we dominated them, they only threatened us when Kirby went to a prevent defense and made Fla. drive down the field to take time off the clock. Also, we totally dominated AU....on their HOME FIELD!!!..... we were up 21-0 and similarly, they only came back due to our prevent, defensive strategy. Kirby will learn from this and become a better coach. Side note: Too many negative posts!!! BEAT BAYLOR!!!! Go DAWGS!!!!!
He is right! But Ed will see a different side to football when his QB is gone. He is not going to be on the podium to answers those questions next year.
Once Notre Dame showed people how to shut-down with ATh that could match up….. we have no game plan or real system ….our offense is a joke
So if you have an offense (LSU did) and ATH on Def that can match up (LSU did) then UGA really is not a tough game …… Truth be told we got every break against FL and was barely able to sneak bye them , Aub has less offense and Def than we do and that was a mighty struggle and they had a true freshman at QB , TX AandM is an average team with 4 losses and we won by less than a TD
I kind of thought of smoke and mirrors more than a great football team , we were an average team that found a way to win and that's a lot better than an average team that finds a way to lose
Uh, I don't think he misspoke...what game this season did UGA dominate again? Not to mention, we lost our last two games against Coach O by a combined what??? 2019 UGA may have been the biggest waste of talent of all time...14 five star recruits and we spend the whole year complaining about lack of WR's...what???
No lies being told here we were slightly overrated this year no receivers, overrated overweight o-line and terrible offensive coaching... Honestly we were defense and luck all year
Hindsight is 20/20. For me it is 22/22. His answer makes sense; however, UGA beat the two of three teams he mentioned; further proof we did not play our best against those particular Tigers.
Well, we didn't actually cause him to sweat during the SEC championship, so it's no wonder he left us out. If credit is due, you give it. If not, simply answer honestly.
GO DAWGS!
BEAT BAYLOR!
He wants to down play Georgia for recruiting. As I recall there was a lot of jersey tugging on that Tiger offensive line. O' what the SEC refs will do to protect the imminent champion. Besides isn't the guy who reigns over the NCAA a former LSU Chancellor? Lemke or something? If someone went to Vegas and bet real heavy on LSU he could make a lot of money. Delta? Are you ready?
No doubt Georgia was probably the worst coached team LSU faced this year. Kirby and his staff are in way over their heads
Orgeron literally pummeled UGA on both sides of the ball....naturally UGA is maybe fourth in his selection. He doesn't rationalize...well, UGA was not close to being at full strength, but if they were well NUMBER ONE! NO. We appeared weak and defenseless....to him. Scrimmage game. Let those words be a battle cry for UGA in 2020!!!!!! Beat LSU! It will take a true miracle....but let it be so,
Mmm let's see.
Hardman (WR), Ridley (WR), Nauta (TE) & Holyfield (RB) left early. Holloman (WR) kicked of the Team. Ford (TE) transferred. Swift (RB) injured. Cager (WR) Simmons (WR), Jackson (WR), Blaylock (WR) and Bush (WR) were all injured at various points or all of the season. All of the starters on the O-Line with the exception of Wilson were injured at various points throughout the season.
Perhaps that had something to do with the lack of productivity by the Offense this year.
I don’t disagree that the UGa team LSU played was not one of their best opponents this year. On the flip side, if LSU had played a full strength UGa team, and they were without their top 4 receivers and #1 RB, I doubt seriously we would be saying they were one of the best teams we had faced (as we prepare for the Peach Bowl).
