This seems to be a popular prediction among the "national media" types. I don't see them beating us in the foreseeable future unless we have another game like we did against the fancy chickens.
Hey Urban Crier, your brain tumor is actin up again if you think Muttley will best CKS...
Those lousy Stinkin gators are in for another dose of bein served up as roadkill.
As for Muttley, bless his heart he actually believes if they remember to put on their jockie straps, it's even gonna matter... Go Dawgs!
Nope. Don't see it. UGA has so much talent now that, like Alabama, the only way we lose is for us to commit multiple turnovers (i.e. USC) or a coaching blunder in a close game. I don't see either happening.
Easily, this is by far one of the most delusional comments ever made by Urban Meyer. The gap between Georgia and Florida is WIDENING , and it is getting further, and further apart as Kirby and Dan go on through the years in these two vastly different programs.
O line will be stout and with an RPO QB, the running game will be better than ever.
Georgia's running game will likely take a step back but that's about it. Everything else should be better. Georgia will likely have the best defense in the country, still a great O-line, a more athletic QB, and a much better OC.
Florida might be a little better, but based on recruiting compared to Georgia and the number of good players they have lost, I doubt it will be nearly enough to beat a Georgia team that should be much better than last year. I say better because the offense will be led by two people (coach, QB) that know how to move the ball and score.
Not this year, Urban. Dawgs win this game regardless of who our QB will be.
Don't hold your breath Urban, this year we will stomp a mudhole in UF and will have y'all questioning will you ever beat us while Kirby is here.
As a Dawg fan I chose to listen to Coach Richt instead of Coach Meyer. Go Dawgs!
Those guys aren’t risking anything with their bold predictions. If they somehow happen to get one right, they crow about it. But when they are wrong, as they usually are, it doesn’t cost them anything – they just move on to something else.
I don’t even pay much attention to Vegas, but a little more than I do to a bunch of REMFs, at least those Vegas guys have something at risk.
Didn’t read the article, didn’t need too. Why do I care what Urban Myers thinks? He’s looking for a job and trying to stay relevant. Moving on!
Meyer is and will always be a mediocre coach and crap shi* horrible person. Florida is closer to Tennessee than to Georgia.
Down by the beach, many of their fans are telling me that they will not only beat the Dawgs this years, but go on to win another natty. 'Cause Urban is never wrong about anything and he knows muLLLen better than anybody. Can't wait to put another "L" in his name. For the first time since before the evil god spurrier, the Dawgs so in their heads they caint think right.
Much bloviating by Meyer and Mullen. What else can they do? UGA will remain dominant. Cleats on the field boys.....then reality hits.
Is this the same Urban Meyer who resigned as the Gator head coach due to psychiatric issues? 🤔
Your headline needs to be edited so that it reads "Florida under Dan Mullen." As it reads now, it gives the impression that Mullen is UGA's coach. That is far too horrifying a thought to hit us with on this Sunday when clocks spring forward.
Once again I like the Dawgs chances against Florida. As for Jamie Newman, go to YouTube and watch the Wake Forest-Michigan State bowl game highlights. He’s a force at QB. The more Florida hype we see, the better it’ll be when we whip them yet again! Keep talking, Meyer and Mullen!
I would have liked to have seen Jake Fromm come back for his Senior year because he was not the problem with the offense.
Ga lost 5 receivers from the 2018 team, then they lost 6 to injury during the 2019 season. No balanced offense can take that many hits at receiver and not see a major drop-off in production.
I do think a player like Newman is coming in at the right time. Many of the most talented receivers are young and having a dual threat QB will help keep defenses honest and take a little pressure off them as well as the running backs.
I have no doubt that despite losing Fromm the offense will perform better and maybe much better. The defense is going to be elite and maybe even the best in CFB.
To me the real question is will Florida be better on either side of the ball. If they want to finally beat a Smart coached Ga team, they better be...
I hope georgia goes in and shuts them out. Like what they should've done that to Miss St. when they got hyped to beat UGA in Mullen's final year.
Anything Urban Meyer has to say is complete garbage. I've never respected him as a coach. He built Florida into a powerhouse, but no one was paying attention to the dumpster fire it was also becoming. Then he magically has health problems to step away and end up with Ocryo State. Wouldn't shock me if he knew about those sexual abuse allegations. But he's not gonna catch any flack for it like Joe Paterno did. And great talent evaluator, he had an actual heisman trophy winner under him and wouldn't give him the time of day.
I think this is the year that after another beating in Jacksonville by the Dawgs, Meyer, Mullen, and the Gators will be saying, "This is the year."...next year.
According to the florida, coaches, players and fans they have had the best team over the last three years regardless of the outcome of the game. I suspect they will be saying the same thing after the Dawgs come on with their fourth victory in a row in Jacksonville.
