In each of the past two cycles, Tray Scott has brought in 5-star defensive line prospect. The 2019 class saw Georgia land Travon Walker, who went to make a handful of big plays, including the game-ending sack against Auburn. It would only rub salt in the wound if we were able to somehow sign Korey Foreman and he see some playing time against Clemson next year in the opener. Oh could you imagine dabo crying then, lol. And technically we already 3 DL commitments, 1 is jeudy at DE.

Elijah Jeudy is being recruited as an OLB at 245 pounds but obviously could grow into a tackle or edge rusher. I believe that is why we will likely sign a minimum of 3 and maybe four OLBs as one or two may outgrow the position.

Zero chance Jordan Davis stays for his Senior year if he produces on the field like he did last season. We absolutely need a big guy to fill that all important DT spot. Honestly, we need two because injuries happen frequently with most players over 300 pounds. It feels like we haven't had great depth at DT in decades. What gives?

Davis will leave after this year. I like Jalen Carter, the mountain mover....he should add some real excitement to the 2020 UGA DL. Top performer at the Under Armour. A long list of defensive "ifs" for 2021....lots of competition from LSU and others. It's a matter of offering these boys early field time and NFL status with an elite SEC team nationally known for its defense. It will happen!!!

Coach Scott is coming into his own as a top recruiter. Many doubted him, but those doubts are falling away. That said, I don't think he can pull Foreman or Smith this class.
