Georgai football has 9 quarterbacks on the roster at the moment, five of them who are on scholarship, and that could lead to attrition

Man, that's a lot of talented QBs fighting for the starting spot! Competition should be fierce in practice! May the best man win!

I can see I can see it both ways. On the one hand, the lack of Spring ball could make it all the more important for the starting quarterback to get reps and familiarity with his teammates before we enter the meat of the season. On the other hand, the lack of Spring ball could mean that we are searching for the best fit and trying multiple quarterbacks out in games. I just hope that our offense gets clicking early and stays that way. Go Dawgs!
If you are out to win the championship, it is probably not a good idea to alternate QBs if you can help it. It is called rhythm and cadence. to master this takes reps., lots of them and on-field playing time. If you are revolving QBs all the time..there is little rhythm....that can help and hurt., but also can baffle a defense....good thing. I had not given much thought to Daniels going pro. That would definitely give D'Wan and Beck reason to remain at UGA and duke it out. So many variables. You've got 5-star Vandagriff in 2021. Daniels still has not been cleared eligible to play this season. Just have to wait it out.
It would seem that between ETSU, ULM and Vandy, the coaches should be able to find some snaps for a couple of the backups. No reason to risk the starter in mop up duty after all. Hopefully Kirby will allow them to do more than turn around and hand off the ball. Having quality depth will be of paramount importance this season and with the recruiting that Kirby has been doing, the Dawgs should have a lot of it.
Yes, it's gonna be very interesting to see how Kirby and Monken use and rotate the qbs. Hopefully they won't have the awkward swaps like we had between Fromm and Fields. I am hopeful that Beck and Mathis will stay and compete for the race next year.
I've been a Dawg for the past 66 years and I've never seen this much qb talent at one time. I hope what happened to Tua last year, in a game that had already been decided, is heeded by Kirby. I know Saban was giving him a chance to enhance his stats but, if the team comes first, that shouldn't be a consideration when the stakes are this high.
