Edwards and McConkey are the other two hard commits. They are all counted in the 23 number already. I'm not well versed in all of the 'strategies' to making the numbers work but there are possibilities out there to shift numbers between years.
I don't know. That is what I was looking for confirmation on. I hope so. I know those 2 are commits, but who are the other 2 "hard commits"?
Aren't Jones and SVPG already counted in the 23 since they are commitments? There are 6 enrolled, 13 signed, and 4 hard commits.
Devonta Smith is only 175#, and he's done alright. He will get some weight on for sure. I saw a few of the hits he put on guys as a corner and he punches above his weight for sure.
How does this effect the recruitment of Jones and Van Pran? Seems like the class is full now. If they had already loss them 2, then good decision. But if they hadn't, then why would you take a small receiver over a possible large and powerful o-lineman? Just confused, I guess. But I am reading the comments from BA and Sentell, they say GA only has 23 spots, and now it seems maxed. Is there going to be some blue shirts? More info would be nice.
BTW- isn't that what Arian Smith was brought in to be? Who is bigger, just as fast, and a higher rated recruit. So my question is why? Just wondering.
Old School= Defense wins Championships
New School= Offense wins Championships
LSU won the National Title by having the best offense in the nation this year, bar none. Kansas City Chiefs won this years Super Bowl by having one of the best offenses if not the best in the NFL. They were down by double digits in all their play off games and came back to win every one, including the Super Bowl.
Let's go Kirby open up the offense! GO DAWGS!
Welcome young Ladd! Another fleet-footed receiver. UGA will pack on the muscle pounds for Him. He will be just fine.
Andy Isabella was 5'9' 174 his senior year in high school. It worked out nicely for him. This Ladd kid will add 10 lbs. of muscle by the fall. Mecole Hardman is minuscule.
Welcome to the DawgNation. It is exciting to see a local Murray County boy join the family. Go Dawgs!!
This is the piece of the class I was really curious about, the speed guy. It looks like we now have all the pieces in place for any sort of offensive overhaul we want to make. Really looking forward to next year!
I love this lad! Sorry, that was too easy. I am looking forward to seeing him light up defenses in the SEC. This kid is absolutely underrated, under the radar.
Welcome to the family!
Wow......watch his highlights. He’s kinda like Mecole Hardman on steroids!!! Amazingly fast and impressive. Welcome Ladd and Go Dawgs!!!
And yet, a 5-11 / 183 LB QB is the top rated player at his position and a top 5 player in the over all rankings.
Mecole Hardman was listed at 5-10 and 169 coming out of high school. McConkey at 5-foot-11, 170.
It's not like Kirby and his staff have to scrape to attract quality receiver's. Have some faith...
Have a little faith in the Georgia nutrition and strength and conditioning program! When Ladd gets his number called, he will be ready! This is a big pickup! I’m excited!!
I'm sorry...but at a 160 pounds (I have no doubt they are fudging his weight) he is not big enough to play in the SEC
A little while back I watched that video of him in one-on-one drills and wondered why he's only a 3 star. Just watched his in-game highlights and I'm officially at a loss. Guess he just didn't really hit the camp circuit?
Heck, yeah! Welcome aboard the Kirby train, Ladd! Dawgs are loading up, son!
GO DAWGS!!!!!
I have never been more excited about a so called 3-star player committing to UGA. There is absolutely no way he's only the 139th best player in Georgia.
I know it's high school highlights, but Ladd looks like Johnny Manziel or Fran Tarkenton the way he keeps making people miss.
Welcome to Georgia!
This is wonderful! A great kid who still has some growing to do. We are blessed to have him. If he throws as well as he runs, we have a real star on our hands.
Go Dawgs!!!
