I forgot Tommy Bush was even on the team. What class was he in? For every pleasant surprise from a lower rated player there seem to be two "busts" by highly rated recruits. Football, like life, is often a numbers game!
I'm with you on Mathis, @saldiven. I don't see how a kid who hasn't been cleared to play all year because he had brain surgery has even a remote possibility of playing just 48 hours before kickoff. Seems he would still be listed as out. And same goes for Isaiah Wilson. the story says that he's not expected to play but "questionable" is a step up from "doubtful" and just below "probable," so I'm not quite following how that would work. the kid hasn't been spotted at practice this week, big game next week, why wouldn't he just be "out?" And also, why is Julian Rochester even on the injured list, since he's "technically" cleared to play. Again, from reading the story, if he doesn't play it won't be because he's still injured but because he's just not in playing shape yet. There's a difference. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see on Saturday, won't we? Go Dawgs!
Tommy Bush . . . this is the first I've seen an explanation for his conspicuous absence. Such a big get as a recruit and there has been a whole lotta nothing about him since. Can't wait to see him get on the field. Pickens and Landers, though, making it tough.
I'm surprised Mathis is only listed as "doubtful." That's a lot of improvement for someone that had brain surgery less than six months ago.
