Re: Gunner Stockton âlive as anybodyâ in Heisman race, among top 6 favorites
The only thing that surprises me...is that it took this long.
Imo....The timeline for player development has shifted to the right....with the advent of the TP/NIL and 12-Team format….and depletion of the Covid Kids. No hurry to break down the door, anymore. Lol
Smart Teams, like UGA...are playing the long game. Which is why I said earlier in the season, the CFP will have a lot of 2 and 3 loss teams. Or.…a lot of weak undefeated teams...[see the UGA vs TCU game].
Lol....the crazy thing is....UGA could wind up having to beat both Alabama...AND...GT, twice in the same year, to get the gold. And, if Bama and UGA should meet again as 1 loss teams in the SECCG....They may have tp play each other 3 times. Best 2 out of 3....for Bama & UGA.
Lol...EPIC! possibilities, this year. Who doesn't love this CFB Season!?.
Go Dawgs!
Re: CBS: Kirby Smart âbest coach on the planet,â but âstill vulnerableâ
I was big time angry with Kirby and in particular Schuman deep into the game. I think that’s the most negative attitude I’ve had in a long, long time. BUT when you get past the In Game emotions and stop to realize what Kirby has to work with in terms of all the youth, all the injuries, even some assistant coaching changes. He Really is doing a phenomenal job. So yes I get angry and frustrated with him at times, but that’s Why he’s the HC of the Georgia Dawgs and I’m just a recliner chair fan. Go Kirby !! Go Dawgs !!
P.S. Kirby is not even vaguely close his prime. Heck he’s a very young man. IF he wants to he’s got years and years of not just coaching but high quality coaching left in him as an individual.

Re: Georgia football winners and losers after wild win over Ole Miss
I agree, just as bad a look as the one the media placed on Beck for his "throwing his WR under the bus" comment. He's gone, moved on, time for the media to do the same thing.

Mendoza will pad his stats and be the clear winner but I'm holding out for ole Diego if the Commodores can win out….the same goes for Gunner…..win out, beat Bama for the SECC and reach the playoffs, and Gunner's a shoe in.

Re: Georgia football winners and losers after wild win over Ole Miss
You go back and read or watch the explanation for the 4th down call - Kirby, Lane, Bellamy, etc. If they substitute there to get a "top back" in there, they probably opt to kick the FG. That's fair to argue. But the play they ran had nothing to do with Cash. Two missed blocks by freshman linemen.
Re: Gunner Stockton âlive as anybodyâ in Heisman race, among top 6 favorites
"The play Gunner made today now, guys, he took it to another level because, I mean, they got a blitz to tackle the back. They got a guy covering the tight end of the flat. And they got a guy running right at him. He pulled the ball, beat the guy blitzing, and then ran for a touchdown. Had some huge scrambles, great throws on time, darts, like the throw to Dillon Bell. I mean, like, let’s give credit where credit’s due. He’s wired for these type moments because he’s tough and his team believes in him. You know, I didn’t get to talk about it, but this kid couldn’t practice Monday and Tuesday. I mean, he literally couldn’t practice. His oblique, the shots he took at Auburn, he’s beat up. And we’re like, okay, we won’t use you in the quarterback run game. We’ll get to you. ‘Uh-huh, coach, I want to run it. I want to run it. My team needs to see me run it.’ And he did. And, I mean, we were concerned he wouldn’t be able to go.”

Heisman? Maybe a long shot, but you never know……
