Re: ‘Being Gunner Stockton’ not enough to win Sugar Bowl, will it be enough to keep starting job?
Too bad the season is over. Gunner needs the reps against other teams. He needs to build a rhythm like Carson did. I am sure he will work on his game during the off season. I am proud of Gunner. He is a player and baller. Can take a hit. Needs an Oline to protect him. Also needs speedier ball delivery…as he mentioned in the post-game presser. Kirby keeps his QB options always open but Gunner has his eye for now.
Re: What comes next for Georgia football as Bulldogs enter offseason needing to reload 2025 roster
The SEC just got shot into the reality of today's football playoff and NIL/transfer portal era. Only (1) SEC team will be in the first CFP Semis or finals. A rarity. The other leagues have caught up with the SEC.
As Seth Emerson said in an article this morning, the SEC DID need a wake-up call. And Georgia can no longer just beat up lesser teams in the SEC East and waltz into the SECCG. The competition has gotten tougher for the B1G as well. 6 of the Top 10 ranked transfer portal teams are currently in the SEC. Teams are getting the memo, and the blue chips like GA and Bama can't hog all the good players any longer. Development will still be important for some players, but if you want to go and play in the NFL and make some good $$$ along the way, then you need to be a starter somewhere sooner rather than later.
Kirby will need to adjust to the new reality, and it may require new coaches as well.

With little time left in the half against Texas we decided to go for it and lost a quarterback. With little time left in the half against ND we decided to go for it and lost a game.
