Re: Former Georgia DB Julian Humphrey announces he’s transferring to new SEC school
The TP is broken. I fully support it, but the timing is WAY off, not just for UGA. Letting people transfer before the CFP even starts, much less ends, is just crazy. I have no idea how CKS (and others) can plan and practice for the CFP, recruit in the TP, recruit outside the TP, deal with existing players, deal with the facts and media around departures, and a host of other day-to-day activities... right in the middle of the holidays!
While I hope it's not the case, I fear this madness will impact UGA the most vs the rest in the CFP. We already were the most "wounded" we've been as a team in a while and pretty shallow at many positions.
If CKS pulls this off (fingers crossed!), he will undoubtedly be heralded as one of the greatest coaches of all time, IMHO
Re: Gunner Stockton isn’t the only one for Georgia football who will benefit from first-round bye
This is a great opportunity for our own Rabun County Gunnar Stockton to go down in history in the Georgia Bulldog Hall of Fame alongside all the great football players that have made UGA's history so rich over the years. Gunnar has now been on the team for three years and knows the system in and out. Although maybe not as accurate a passer as Beck, Gunnar adds the running dimension, which may very well prove more valuable. At the time of Beck's injury, the Dawgs were losing to Texas in Atlanta and things were looking very bleak indeed. Stockton motivated the team with his charismatic personality unlike any previous game this year. So I am very optimistic that Gunnar is going to go down in the history books this year with a big ring on his finger and will seal his position as starter for the 2025 UGA Bulldogs! Get on board the Love Train, boys!
