Re: What social media is saying about Georgia football after Jackson Cantwell commits to Miami
I don’t believe for a second that money wasn’t the underlying factor.
FORMER UGA GOLFERS ON PGA TOUR
Sepp Straka won today. His second win of the year. Also winning on tour this year are Harris English, Brian Harman and Russell Henley. That makes 5 of 21 tournaments won by former Dawgs. Impressive!

Re: Jackson Cantwell: No. 1 prospect for 2026 recruiting cycle commits to Miami
If the dollars were most important to him, then glad he's off the board.
Re: Jackson Cantwell: No. 1 prospect for 2026 recruiting cycle commits to Miami
I hate this process! I never thought I would see the day in college sports where the high bidder got the player.

Re: Jackson Cantwell: No. 1 prospect for 2026 recruiting cycle commits to Miami
We dodged a bullet here. His top four were Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, and Oregon. Of those 4, Miami is the only one that plays home games in a half empty stadium every home game. It’s also the only one not competing for national championships on a regular basis. As my grandson, who is a student at Miami, says, “I can’t see anyone preferring to play for us over a school like UGA.” He says the stadium is usually more than half empty with far fewer in actual attendance than is announced.
Choosing Miami over any of the other three makes zero sense if his main goal is playing really big-time football in packed stadiums with championships on the line. Plus, to be the best you need to practice and play against the best. Not going to happen at Miami.
Couldn’t criticize anyone for choosing either OSU or Oregon.
Picking Miami can only be explained by one word: MONEY. I’m glad we missed on this one. I prefer young men who play for more than money at the college level.
Nevertheless, I hope he finds success. 18 year old kids need better advice than Jackson got. It’s not his fault imo. I wish him well, but poor decisions usually have undesirable consequences. Hope that doesn’t happen to Jackson, who seems like a nice young man.

When people tell you "It's not about the money"; It's always about the money. if it's not about the money then why hire an agent. Wish the young man well at "The U".
