Re: Kirby Smart: How Georgia’s losses ‘made us better,’ may been necessary for championship run
@MissyouLarry Very well stated!
I've been a Dawgs fan since 1970 when we moved to Athens. Both my parents were faculty at UGA. During that time I went to Georgia Bulldog football camp and got to know many coaches personally. As a kid, me and my cohorts sold programs just for the ticket into the game. Fast forward and I was in college during the Herschel years. Fun times. Was easy to smuggle a handle of George Dickel into the game, buy a rack of cokes for the group and instant partay. We stuggled for years through Goff and Donnan and then Mark Richt took us to much better and more consistent heights. But the Dawgs just never seemed to break through. Kirby has definitely elevated the team to the point where we fans are spoiled. Back then an SEC Championship was the Pinnacle. Now, nothing short of a Natty satisfies. We are lucky to live through this golden age of UGA Football!
