UGA Track & Field Lady Dawgs are SEC Champions
Men are runner's up. Best finish since……..1940? What?
Lady Dawgs Tennis plays A&M today for the National Championship. Time to avenge last year's Natty loss to the aggies. Match begins at 5PM EST.
Re: UGA baseball 2025
Going to be a top 8 seed host Super Regional. We are 29-4 at home, #1 RPI. IF we win the SEC #1 seed. More realistically win 2 in SEC tourney and will probably end up #5 seed.
Strength right now is pitching and power hitting (home runs). Major weakness is hitting lefthanders. Everyone knows this and look for the opposition to exploit this until we prove otherwise.
I think we make a run and make it to Omaha and anything can happen there

Re: Blast from the past
Not Gilbert but I was wondering a few days ago if Adam Anderson got out and turned things around.

Re: Kirby Smart named top college football coach in the country in newest ESPN rankings
We are lucky to have Kirby. He is an excellent HC and elite. Who would possibly be ahead of him as a better active HC? No one. Assistant coaches come and go, but I do think both Searles and Bobo have to prove they can get over last season and do better. Searles has more to prove than Bobo, but both had to deal with nagging injuries and shuffled lineups. The off-field antics by multiple players is disheartening and something that definitely seems to occur to this team much more than others.
The Dawgs went 11-3 despite the following:
- Carson Beck having a very uncharacteristic season throwing a record number of interceptions.
- a record number of dropped passes which reportedly accounted for 665 yards of missed offensive production and the most by ANY team in college football since 2018.
- more nagging week-after-week injuries of key players than normal which led to changing lineups on offense (and sometimes the defensive front 7) almost weekly.
Call me crazy, but I'd say we did pretty well considering our multiple missed opportunities, injuries, and just poor execution. You can't blame Bobo or Searles for a lot of our problems last season.

Re: Kirby Smart wants Georgia to improve in these two areas. What does improvement look like?
Good analysis Connor.
And I'll dig a little deeper just looking at the games we lost last season:
Bama game: Bama 173 yards rushing, UGA 80 yards rushing
Ole Miss game: Rebels 134 yards rushing, UGA 59 yards rushing
ND game: Irish 154 yards rushing, UGA 62 yards rushing
And let's look at the (2) games we won against Texas:
1st game: UGA 141 yards rushing, TX 31 yards rushing
2nd game: UGA 108 yards rushing, TX 29 yards rushing
I will say Texas RB Wisner got about 50 yards per game in rushing in both games against the Dawgs, but the sacks and yards lost by Ewers negated much of his yardage.
So the key to this whole thing goes back to the line of scrimmage. That's pretty much the crux of most winning or losing.
