Re: Inside the Georgia locker room as Bulldogs grapple with a season that ended too soon
Until Georgia learned to be aggressive on both sides of the ball, especially the offensive side, they will continue to be in games like the ones this season and last night. They had opportunities to put Ole Miss away, but Georgia played not to make a mistake before the half, tried not to give up the lead after the half, and let's not talk about the last offensive series when they played to leave time on the clock instead of just playing to score a touchdown. They played for the tie and looked to play in overtime.

totally embarrassing. Until KS gets a OC this team is one and done in a playoff situation. $13,mill a year and totally outclassed and out coached. It’s ok KS and the coaches got their incentive bonuses for making the playoffs.. totally frustrating.

We put on a bad coaching clinic for the ages.

Tough loss. Never quit. Oh well. Go get em next year. Good luck going forward Ole Miss. You deserved to win.

@HellHound makes some fine points tonight as does @DallasDawg . And @navydawg is always there. We had a good season, can't win them all. I was watching the game with my 90 year old mother who has been a dawg for life ever since the Herschel years. She was the head administrator at the University Health Service, and my Dad was head of the Genetics Program. Lost my Dad a few years ago and Mom still a Dawg and going strong. I'm jumping around screaming and Mom calmly says "you know we'll be around next year". I wanted them to win more for her than me. I want to state my love for all Dawgs here who supported me. And @navydawg I am here whenever you need someone. Seriously. My email is davebcarlton@yahoo.com. I will help you or any of my other dawg friends any way I can,.
Re: Everything Kirby Smart said as Georgia football season comes to crushing end against Ole Miss
Kirby is the coach for a reason but I'm sorry, in that situation, let's take the tie and go to OT, and win it there. I think our odds would have been a lot better than trying to throw it in from six yards out, into tight windows and spaces, to a receiver who had already stepped out of bounds so couldn't legally even catch the pass. But the play that bothered me most was the play before that, when we did the handoff to Bowens and lost three yards. I thought — and even Greg McElroy said — that we would just run Gunner Stockton two more times from the 3-yard line. If he gets in great. If he doesn't, we're kicking a field goal to tie with under 20 seconds left. I know it was a read option and Stockton chose to give it to Bowens when he probably should have kept it. But, I never would have even given him the option. Just put the ball in Gunner's hands for better or for worse.
Re: Inside the Georgia locker room as Bulldogs grapple with a season that ended too soon
Once again, we played a very talented team that wanted it more than we did…..things observed: Trinidad Chambless is the best QB in college football, you can't throw a pass through William Echoles, Ole Miss receivers catch balls like a junkyard magnet catches crushed Fords, Kewan Lacy is one gutsey, run through the pain RB, Pete Golding will do for OM like KS has done to Georgia and any coach leaving to follow Lane Kiffin is a fool….."Hotty Totty" to the NATTY!
