Re: Gunner Stocktonâs play against winning teams measures up to Heisman finalists
My kinfolk are farmers in Indiana, so they're my #2. But I did listen to Mendoza; and if he's amped up like that all the time, that'd grate on me pretty quickly. Yeah, he was swept up in the moment; and if I were in his shoes, I might have also had a hard time containing. But contrasted with Gunner's demeanor, I'll take Gunner. To each his own, I respect others' preferences. Go Dawgs!
Re: Gunner Stocktonâs play against winning teams measures up to Heisman finalists
I said before the season started how pleasing it was to know that Beck was leaving and Gunner, a true leader and the kind of QB players want to be in the huddle with, would be our QB this year. He has been even better than expected. He’s the epitome of a DGD!
But, more importantly, Gunner is all about team first. While he doesn’t have the gaudy numbers necessary to win the Heisman, if the ward was really about who’s the best football player, leader, most valuable to his team’s success, etc., Gunner would be a finalist. But that’s not what the Heisman is about these days. Arguably, the last player like Gunner to win the Heisman was Tim Tebow. Tebow wasn’t a great QB, but he was a leader every coach dreams about. So is Gunner.
Finally, Gunner doesn’t care about the Heisman. He cares about his team, his school, the fans, and winning football games. In the overall scheme of things, I prefer Gunner over the Diego Pavia’s of the world.

Hope Mike doesn’t get snubbed like the rest of our Dawgs have been on various trophies and lists. But he’s like the rest of the team he just wants to Win !! Go Dawgs !!

Re: Georgia football cancels future home-and-homes against Louisville, NC State
Looks like Texas is gonna get a break from Kirby's Dawgs next year. Lol.…Bevo has time to grow his horns back, before UGA plays em again.
Re: Mike Bobo named a finalist for Broyles Award as the nationâs top assisstant coach
We are averaging what we did last year in points per game at 32 per game. I'm definitely not complaining like I did last season when we had at least 8 games where we scored 10 points or less in the 1st half.
Mike seems to have gotten better as our defense has gotten better. I'd say our offense (at least to the eye) looks better in general than last season, more congruent. Definitely running the ball better than last year. I guess the voters or nominators didn't take into account the Tech fiasco. But hey, we're winning, and scoring enough to win because of our defense and we don't even have any kind of deep threat at the WR position. So, give CMB kudos for making this thing work! Go DAWGS!
