Re: UGA baseball 2025
If you're gonna have that much swagger you have to back it up. Otherwise you just look stup*d.
Payne Stewart used to dress up like a golfer from the 1920's or 30's. You can do that if you can play and he was extremely good. If you show up to a local public course dressed like that and shoot 120 you just look like a big d*mmy.
So yeah you have a tourney at your home field with three other teams. You go 1-2 and lose to the two legit teams you played. Pretty epic flop.

Re: Georgia eliminated from NCAA tourney, drops dramatic 11-9 slugfest to Oklahoma State
I’ve read and written many dumber things, college athletics is spiraling down hill rapidly. Many old guys like me who have lived and died with th Dawgs for over 50 years are losing our passion for college athletics. Lack of loyalty from coaches and players chasing dollars. It was a good run with season tickets for over 30 years but my generation has lost interest. I’m not gona adapt and not gona die anytime soon unless th Lord surprises me. Will just deer hunt a bit more during th fall, and bass fish a bit more during the Spring.
Re: Georgia baseball season comes to a shocking end, numbers donât add up
@MikeGriffith …That’s all true Mike. That’s why I feel pitching is so important. When your hitters aren’t coming through in the clutch and runs are at a premium, good pitching will get the team through those type games. I have no doubt Wes Johnson is on the job and scouring the nation for pitchers for next season. I believe he can and will get the Diamond Dawgs to “compete with the elite.” Go Dawgs!
Re: Georgia baseball season comes to a shocking end, numbers donât add up
@lucydog It was a bit of everything…. hitters 1-for-8 with runnings in scoring position in loss to Duke…. runners on second and third no outs top of ninth with 2-run lead on OSU… and can't either in
Game-tying run scored when pitcher didn't hit first with his foot covering on would-be double play that would sent game to extra innings…..then the HR ball
So timely hitting, defense and, yes, pitching … but pitching is at a premium across college baseball. Georgia improved this year, vastly, and wasn't horrible

Re: Georgia baseball season comes to a shocking end, numbers donât add up
BornADawg—-You hit the nail on the head—it's not the hitting, it's the pitching!
Re: Georgia eliminated from NCAA tourney, drops dramatic 11-9 slugfest to Oklahoma State
If the UGA players did that (didn't watch the game) they deserve to get bounced out. Show some class, celebrate as a team when the game is over. Being on the brink of elimination it is not a good look to be bat flippin. This year's team must go down as one of the most under achieving UGA bb teams in recent history.
