Re: Georgia athletic director Josh Brooks weighs in on hot football general manager topic
It seems to me UGA has a "GM". CKS. He is the focal point that uses all the information gathered from a very talented staff of assistants and administrators. At some point will CKS want a guy that deals only with the money and NIL management? It could happen IF NIL continues to be a rule-less free for all. Those day do seem to be numbered.
IF NIL continues to be a rule-less free for all we might see CKS pull a Saban and leave CFB. The NFL would be an option for CKS. Maybe not his most desirable option. However, CKS is too young to retire and the NFL would be an option with rules and structure.
Right now talent acquisition in CFB is lawless. Talent acquisition in the NFL completely structured with all encompassing rules and standards.
IF UGA ever does have a "GM" for football you can bet the farm that that person will report to CKS. He won't be between Smart and Brooks.

Re: Braves 2025
Don't know what to expect after a layoff, but I hope it's good. Mitchell Parker is going for the Nats. He has an ERA of over 9 for his last three games. Hope he continues in that vein tonight.
Re: Kirby Smart explains why Georgia football hasnât followed âGMâ trend
@99nout I'm not sure I follow you — this is the first article with Kirby talking about the GM Position and why he doesn't have one.
I did have Josh Brooks as a guest Monday night "On the Beat" to get his take on the GM role in college football? Perhaps you saw that headline go live?
But, yes, sometimes we do write more than one story on the same topic, such as the House vs. NCAA, which had a hearing on April 7 and is still not settled — amazingly — even as the judge makes requests and lawyers file more briefs.
It's like college football is in this constant state of flux, every day we wake up, it's something different.
Appreciate the feedback

Re: Kirby Smart knows Georgia football will need serious contributions for ânewbiesâ in 2025
How do you get them ready? Play them in a game. Not just 5 snaps. If they put in the work, put them on the field
