The Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams injuries are minor @lucydawg. Their teams played it safe with them because they expect both guys to start early this season and don't want them to aggravate their injuries for meaningless preseason games. The only one who suffered a serious preseason injury was Dan Jackson, and his was season-ending.

That … never actually happened. Texas alone lost their #1 and their #3 tailbacks for the season early. They were missing their best safety, a definite future NFL draft pick who would have been the guy responsible for containing Trevor Etienne - who incidentally had his 2 most impactful games for UGA against Texas - also.
Notre Dame? Well see this: and you will know that it was a very battered Fighting Irish team that dominated UGA 23-10. UGA was no more healthier at the end of 2021 and 2022 than they were at the end of 2023 and 2024. It is just that the 2021 and 2022 teams had way more talent, on both sides of the ball, to begin with.
