Re: Georgia football identity: Athlon notes 6 preseason All-Americans, but only one first-team
Imo….one or two, relatively good Offensive Linemen.…with great leadership skills and a burning desire to "WIN! at all costs".…can radically infect the "Great Ones" with that same desire.
I.e.;.....Great Leaders can and will raise the game of everyone around em. I think the Dawgs have 1 or 2 of those guys on the line…and, definitely, a couple in the backfield and on the ends.
I believe in UGA's "leadership" & Program.
I believe in the players, Kirby recruited.
I trust the process….therefore, it's easy to make that prognostication....imho.
What I can't predict....is, injuries & their possible impact. That's been an issue lately, because of the dwindling depth. It's not as easy to cover for the loss of a Stark, Allen or Stockton...or a couple of linemen.
I see Kirby, milking the season....winning what he has to win, to get in the CFP. Increasing & preserving depth as much as possible, till needed.
They may lose a couple of games toward that effort....but, it won't effect their standing wrt the CFP. They WILL finish in the top 10.…walk through the playoffs....and, go into the CFPCG, healthier than they've ever been.
UGA wins a Natty this year. I think. Lol
Re: Kirk Herbstreit calls out ESPN personality for UGA fandom
He only called her out because she doesn't give her support to his Alma mater..osu. If she were cheering for that Ohio team, they'd be best buddies, guaranteed. kirk herbstriet= a jealous, petty little man, another espn clueless"expert", a biased announcer (yet its ok for him to be an obvious osu homer..can you say hypocrite kirk?) and definitely a TRUE CLOWN.

Re: Kirk Herbstreit calls out ESPN personality for UGA fandom
It's not a story and it's just another attempt by Connor to fill space
Re: Kirk Herbstreit calls out ESPN personality for UGA fandom
Why doesn’t he call out Desmond? He’s about as big of a Michigan homer as possible. Plus, does Herbie really believe he’s not biased towards Ohio State? He and Fowler are very biased every game they cover. Fowler is worse than Herbie, but Herbie is obviously bias towards OSU.
It’s so bad, I have to mute the TV when Herbie and Fowler are covering a game.
Re: Kirk Herbstreit calls out ESPN personality for UGA fandom
BA—Artificial Intelligence will never take your place—you are WAY too human—Thank God!! ESPN has taken it's sword to UGA in many ways—two of the most prominent and recent are Maria Taylor and David Pollack.
Re: SEC Quarterbacks: Arch Manning, Gunner Stockton lead into deep list
@MontanaDawg Arch Manning started 2 games: Louisiana-Monroe and 2-10 Mississippi State. He didn't play well against ULM: 52% completions, 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Yes, it did give the folks in Austin some heartburn. He was a lot better against Bulldogs West: 26-31 for 325 yards and 2 TDs, but again a 2-10 team at home. Plus Arch Manning isn't the son of Archie Manning like Peyton and Eli. He is Archie Manning's grandson: the son of Cooper Manning, who probably would have had a decent career as a possession NFL WR - an Ed McCaffrey type - had it not been for a spinal condition that caused him to give up football. Cooper Manning is actually the oldest, so if he had the skills to play QB instead of WR, he absolutely would have like his younger brothers did. So we have no basis for believing that his son Arch has exceptional QB ability. Ironically the folks in Austin regard Arch Manning to be this great dual threat QB but they are delusional: he has nowhere near the speed, quickness or change of direction of his father. How quickly the folks in Austin have forgotten Sam Ehlinger (1900 and 33 career rushing yards and TDs) let alone Vince Young.
Also, while Arch Manning was the #1 QB and overall recruit (according to Rivals) in 2023, I have scanned the 2023 Rivals 250 and that appears to have been a down year. More guys from the 2024 Rivals 250, including WRs Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Wingo and Ryan Williams, UGA safety KJ Bolden and QB DJ Lagway, have made names for themselves already.
