Re: Braves 2025
These Braves are so…perplexing. Saturday's game showed what they could be, Schwellenbach threw a gem and the offense produced 11 hits - a good team effort. The starting pitching has been amongst the best in baseball. The offense, not so much. But…Albies and Harris are showing signs of heating up. Fingers crossed!!
Re: UGA baseball 2025
If we are to survive this regional, it will be through lefties unfortunately. We are at home though, it’s very doable.

Re: Georgia baseball
whomever said that this team was just resting for the bracket and the SEC tournament wasn’t serious needs to stop being a homer. When I said when this coach got an extension and lost the first game of the SEC tournament and that we would lose the regional again, why would we extend a coach who cannot get us passed the first round and I was laughed at…I tried telling you, I love UGA, but I’m a realist as well
Re: Georgia baseball
Wes has built this team to live by homers.Homer's. Good pitching always shuts this down. Look at the Braves, same thing. UGA is cooked.

Re: Opinion: Too soon to give up on preseason ânightmareâ Stetson Bennett in NFL ranks
The question is, can Mike connect with DN readers while avoiding throwing shade at SB and stirring up controversy at every turn?
The question is, can Mike connect with DN readers while avoiding throwing accolades to opposing teams like UFK and making us tired of the same old schtick?
Just another SB bashing article. Mike just be honest. You hate the guy. He must have stole your lunch money or insulted you somehow because you will not let it rest. What is your problem? Be forthcoming and tell the truth or stop this tiresome attack on SB.
BTW your comments weren't cute so I used them to show you how silly they are. But mine are true and yours are meant to disparage SB. Give It A Rest…Geez we're tired of it. There's the door…your favorite college team awaits your return. Please let UFK be your rightful home.

Re: Opinion: Too soon to give up on preseason ânightmareâ Stetson Bennett in NFL ranks
Yeah...there has been sporadic positive and negative spec reporting on Bennett, going back a few years. From pretty much, every publication that "matters".
Lol...Mainly, because they have no real meat to sink their teeth into. He's an enigma, a spiritual story-in-wait. Everybody is dying for an ending to the story.…and, they don't know which way to go. Did he...or, didn't he?. Lol
IMO....Right now....a lot of these publications are trying to examine Bennett's potential on-field contribution....using an extremely small sample size made available to for public consumption.
They are seeing what McVay is allowing them to see....and thinking what he's allowing them to think. These "experts" are examining that sparse material with a microscope.…when they should be using a telescope.
So far...McVay has kept that closer to the vest than Kirby's Kids. Lol....you know what they say..."if it weren't for an inaccurate story.…there'd be no story at all".
From what I've been hearing and reading [from what I consider reliable sources]
1. Bennett is plan A, should Stafford not be able to go, this season. And, they're gonna dump JG's contract to save badly-needed cap money....once SB is established..
2. There is also potential for Stafford to retire. He's been considering it. If that happens... they keep JG. JG and SB will fight it out for QB & leader, during camp. Maybe. Depending on a lot of other considerations, like injury and player availability.
3. The Rams, as a team, are not in as good a situation today...as they were 2 short years ago. Bennett makes the most sense for them, provided....he "is", what McVay and others say he is.
Bottom Line....They plan on finding out, soon.My money's on Stetson Bennett.
You look around the league, at all the "built-in excuses with arms" and "media coronated Prima Donna's"...and, ya' gotta ask yourself....who wouldn't want to go to war with Stetson Bennett? The kid's a fighter. He's a ballplayer's ballplayer.
Something a lot of people have a hard time understanding. Imagine being a little stunned, getting beat & beat-up, near hopless with time ticking off the clock, desperate for a spark.......
.....Now, imagine, in that scenario... the difference between, looking across the huddle into the intense competitive eyes of an SB....vs...looking across that same huddle, into the eyes of a CB.
Game recognizes game, as the kids say....and, sometimes that makes all the difference. Lol....players know and respect the extra gear or set of hands [whatever] that comes out of a gamer, when the chips are down.
It's like having a never-ending supply of Nitrox under the hood.. Did the Dawgs' Offense appear to have a supply of "Nitrox" in every game, last year?....or, the year before? [Barring the FSU game, Lol]
Lol....as the crow flies...looks like Bennett may just be, better that the coronaters and the coronated, alike. Despite a neverending barrage of cold to luke warm Press rhroughout his amazing journey, he's managed to reach the summit....and, beyond???
Sounds remarkably like the relationship between the "Fake Media" and our POTUS, huh?. My view of most of the sports & news media today...as being akin to a broken clock [Even that is right twice a day]....has also, effected my view of these fly-by opinion pieces on Bennett, coming out of Cali.
As for my money? It's still on Stetson. Let it Ride!!!, Baby!! Let it ride! Lol
Re: Opinion: Too soon to give up on preseason ânightmareâ Stetson Bennett in NFL ranks
During the times of no college football—January through August—I watch a lot of Georgia games on YouTube. Watching Stetson in those two championship seasons is a kick. He was almost "magical" —passes on the button, accurate on short passes and long passes, good decision making, agile and quick. I find it hard to believe that he's a marginal third string QB in the NFL. It's almost as if he made a deal with a genie, but the time has expired. I wish him all the best!!
Re: Georgia baseball
WOW—You folks are tough on each other! We just don't have the pitching to go far in this tournament , but I'm glad we got here. GO DAWGS!
Re: Carter Luckie UGA legacy commits to Georgia football
That is really cool. In addition to carrying on the "Luckie tradition", he is a very good football player. Welcome to Athens!!
