Re: Georgia football fall scrimmage one: Mixed bag, per observers
I agree. At this point...The coaches have seen a thousand times the QB reps, any of us can account for. Lol. At least, as far as the current QB Room is concerned.
Personally....I'll just rely on Coach Smart and Coach Bobo's opinion. I have a feeling they know what they doing.
I would be surprised...but, not completely shocked...to see Puglisi take the field in place of Stockton.
Mainly because, both guys are capable ballplayers...and the coaching staff is committed to playing the quarterback that gives em the best shot at winning a Championship. I don't think it's personal.
I say....let the best man win...and, dang the politics. What say you... @navydawg ?
Re: Stetson Bennett âawesomeâ in win over Dallas Cowboys, back to chopping wood
Way to go Stets !! Proud of you and for you !! You are making Dawg Nation proud and representing it in a great way !! Keep on chopping !!

Re: Gunner Stocktonâs winning edge: Kirby Smart shares insight into QB preparation
All true. All of those things came together...and created a perfect storm. That storm is the only thing that stopped the Dawgs, last year...imo.
But,...at the same time...a storm washes away the dirt and residue and allows for a clean, fresh start. And....doing it with a team, that survived the heart of the storm, no less.
The Dawgs seem to have an edge about em this year. Even the coaching staff. They are all battle tested, with a few exceptions...and looking for a little payback. I wouldn't put anything past em.…Not in '25, I wouldn't.
Go git 'em Big Red!!!
Re: Gunner Stocktonâs winning edge: Kirby Smart shares insight into QB preparation
We all said, from the get-go..."The only thing that can beat Georgia....is Georgia". I think that's still the case. Lady Luck should be on their side this year. The "law-of-averages" says so. Lol. That's all they need..."a little luck".
Re: Georgia football fall scrimmage one: Mixed bag, per observers
Anyone who tries to push the narrative that Puglisi is ahead of Gunner at this point is A. In fantasy land and wasn't at G-Day B. A troll trying to stir it up. C. Just trying to push the same narrative of the trolls. Or D. Bought into the national perspective that Gunner is a lesser level QB and not the top 100 national level recruit that he actually is. Also, remember that Gunner was a consensus top 50 recruit at the time of his signing and slid back only due to the lack of participation in recruiting camps.
Puglisi & Montgomery thankfully give us excellent backups and excellent depth, but lack the experience both in games & system knowledge. Period.
Re: Georgia football fall scrimmage one: Mixed bag, per observers
Exactly!!! @Vetdawg . The biggest difference I see between THIS year and '21-'22....is that the Dawgs just had a generational defense at the time. And, it showed during scrimmages.
What happens when both units are "generational"?
They make each other look average. Lol...just as if they were both mediocre. Well...we know Dawggone well, UGA ain't mediocre or average. So, that leaves one possibility.
You can't go by "#1 vs #1 scrimmages", anymore than you can make any kind of informed judgement, versus an Austin Peay or GaSo. Imo.
