Re: Details emerge follow Walmart shoplifting arrest of 2 Georgia football players
From my sources in The Classic City….I'd say this whole bubbling sordid affair is much ado about nothing of consequence…my recommendation to Wally World would be to drop the charges, re educate the Loss Prevention Dick, apologize to Walker, Glover, Georgia Football, maybe make a donation to the student athletic fund and pray you're not sued for malicious/zealous/false prosecution…..before a full scale Wally World Boycott takes place.

Re: Kaiden Prothro: 4-time state champ wraps historic career and is off to UGA
@JeffSentell Good article Jeff !! Unfortunately I got on TV late in the game but watched the balance of it. The Dawgs have got themselves a stud at TE in Prothro !! He has the “It” factor. I’m not a coach or an expert but as long as he continues to devote himself to the game this young man is gonna go Very far and at the highest levels !!
Jeff will he be an early enrollee at UGA ? Can’t wait to see him playing for the Dawgs !!

Re: Georgia basketball bounces into Top 25, leads nation in scoring
Nothing would give me more pleasure than eating my "Mediocre Mike" crow…but we were 12-2 prior to SEC play last year and 13-4 the year before. So I'll just shut up and sit quietly in the naysayer's corner and let's revisit this in a month or so, yes? Until then, good luck roundball pups…

Re: Details emerge follow Walmart shoplifting arrest of 2 Georgia football players
OK my opinion and that’s All it is. You can take my opinion add the appropriate $$ and get a sammich at Mickey D’s. OK IF these two players are found guilty in a court of law. Then Yes what they did was wrong. Yes stealing Is stealing. But stealing $94 between Two guys is a very, very light thing in this country even world when you have people gunning down others in cold blood, rape, assault, you name it.
Some will say Oh !! Oh !! But that simple theft is the start of a life of crime !! Yeah some times it can be. But not nearly Always. Having worked in Corrections for 12 years I might know a little about crime.
A True criminal cannot be rehabilitated. Now the psychs will show up in force and argue that to death. But I’m telling you from having worked at multiple institutions dealing with petty criminals to hardened criminals that would kill their own mother for a buck. You can’t Really reform a True criminal.
Those that made s t u p I d mistakes Even bad ones Can be reformed.
Remember Red played by Morgan Freeman on Shawshank Redemption ? He murdered a person. I had some inmates over my years just like him. I had others that could probably fool a parole board that would kill again at first provocation or opportunity for $$
So IF these players are found guilty it Does Not mean they are on a path to being hardened career criminals. However IF they are found guilty they Do need discipline coupled with proper guidance.
Tying up the court system over $94 between TWO guys is a bit excessive and a waste of tax payers $$ in my opinion. The costs of extracting a pound of flesh from these two guys does not justify the end. Kirby could assuredly get $94 worth of pain and regret from them. Now had Violence by them been involved Id be singing a different tune. I’m working on 69 yrs old but I realize we live in a different world now. Actions taken must be commensurate to the crime. This was Very trivial. Now a smash and grab involves Destruction of property to gain access to Steal property that can and usually does run into Allot of $$. So Yeah the punishment on that would need to be more intensive. One night in jail with a warning that their names and mug shots are on file Don’t Ever let it happen again would’ve been sufficient here, maybe a $100 fine each and call it a day. My opinion.
