Re: Gunner Stocktonâs winning edge: Kirby Smart shares insight into QB preparation
We all said, from the get-go..."The only thing that can beat Georgia....is Georgia". I think that's still the case. Lady Luck should be on their side this year. The "law-of-averages" says so. Lol. That's all they need..."a little luck".
Re: Georgia football fall scrimmage one: Mixed bag, per observers
Anyone who tries to push the narrative that Puglisi is ahead of Gunner at this point is A. In fantasy land and wasn't at G-Day B. A troll trying to stir it up. C. Just trying to push the same narrative of the trolls. Or D. Bought into the national perspective that Gunner is a lesser level QB and not the top 100 national level recruit that he actually is. Also, remember that Gunner was a consensus top 50 recruit at the time of his signing and slid back only due to the lack of participation in recruiting camps.
Puglisi & Montgomery thankfully give us excellent backups and excellent depth, but lack the experience both in games & system knowledge. Period.
Re: Stetson Bennett âawesomeâ in win over Dallas Cowboys, back to chopping wood
"Afterward", is when they start the liberal substitutions. That effects every QB. That's why most teams only play their "Starter" for the first couple of series' before replacing them with #2 or #3.
Imo...For all intents and purposes...Bennett took Garrapolo or Stafford's reps, in series #1 & #2. And, he looked like "The Starter".…not the #1 or #2. And, that's what ya look for.
Re: Stetson Bennett âawesomeâ in win over Dallas Cowboys, back to chopping wood
For whatever reason, my YouTube TV had this game being listed at 8:00 tonight… so I missed it. I don't care a whole lot about the NFL, but I do like to see how former Dawgs are doing, and I knew SBIV was going to be the QB for this one, so I was looking forward to seeing what the Mailman would deliver… dang. Good to know that things went well, at least.

Re: Stetson Bennett âawesomeâ in win over Dallas Cowboys, back to chopping wood
I always thought Stet was a better QB1 than Bryce Young. Just glad that our guy didn't get stuck on an awful team!! Hopefully things will continue to look up for him and that he has left some of his "demons" behind him.
Re: Braves 2025
Me too. That one inning just gets away from him. Wish I knew how to fix that. I do like the work that Wentz and Waldrep are doing. Promise for the future. Doesn't seem like Ozzie can do it anymore. Don't know if all of those injuries are catching up to him. Big decision looming on him.
Re: Braves 2025
He's about the age Charlie Morton was when he turned it around. He’s a former first round pick (#18) and was really heating up last year before being traded back to the national league.
Re: Braves 2025
Just have noticed that Fedde seems to pitch a lot of zeros and then has that one inning that unravels for us.
Re: Gunner Stocktonâs winning edge: Kirby Smart shares insight into QB preparation
All true. All of those things came together...and created a perfect storm. That storm is the only thing that stopped the Dawgs, last year...imo.
But,...at the same time...a storm washes away the dirt and residue and allows for a clean, fresh start. And....doing it with a team, that survived the heart of the storm, no less.
The Dawgs seem to have an edge about em this year. Even the coaching staff. They are all battle tested, with a few exceptions...and looking for a little payback. I wouldn't put anything past em.…Not in '25, I wouldn't.
Go git 'em Big Red!!!
