Re: Further evidence that the THE isn't really THE
All those high first round draft choices and no title last year. Fire Ryan Day.
Re: Zachariah Branch: Police report provides more details into what led up to Branch's arrest
Can somewhat understand a citation for blocking the sidewalk. But why was he arrested? Seems rather excessive. Was it Smirking in the first degree or second degree that got him tossed in the slammer? Doubt this impacts his draft status.

Re: What to make of Georgia football having just one first-round pick in 2026 NFL Draft
This is hilarious! I stopped listening to Dawgnation podcast and reading their articles for this exact thing. I just happened to think this morning to see if Dawgnation had changed, logged in for the first time in over a year, and seems things are still the same. Yes! Seth Emerson, Chip Towers, and Bill had the best original stories about not just football, but interviews with the school president, athletic director, etc. that made this website special and #1 amongst all Bulldog Nation. Dawgnation has sloppy writing and I had started calling them ESPN jr. since Connor can only write about what ESPN put out there due to no creativity.
I've always said too, once Jeff leaves the show, you will see a mass exodus to other sites and podcasts. It's time to replace Connor and Mike Dawgnation and find some new A-listers.

I think it would have benefited Branch to stay another year.

Re: What to make of Georgia football having just one first-round pick in 2026 NFL Draft
I looked at mock drafts from a bunch of CBS guys and only one of them had more than just Freeling in the 1st round, so I'd say things went as expected. I think Branch will be an underrated pick and will have a very successful NFL career.
It definitely is frustrating that Ohio State always seems to have a lot of players in the 1st round which encourages more players to sign with them, but that's just the difference between our programs. Georgia isn't about showing off players, it's about a solid team cohesion and working and improving. I'm just surprised NFL teams haven't realized that Georgia players are almost always a steal.
Re: What to make of Georgia football having just one first-round pick in 2026 NFL Draft
Well said sir! Amazing effort from CKS & staff, swimming upstream all year.
But, last season felt like the end of something…
pistol-whipping a rival in the SECCG, then scrapping that offensive game-plan for the next opponent?
uncertain in-game decision-making from a coaching GOAT?
the defense losing its collective mind in the final minutes of a playoff game against a ragtag group of portal players from Ole Miss with a HC in his first game?
Hope my intuition is totally off, but the game is in hostage-mode and needs a Reagan-type badass to blow it up & reset things to normal!
