Re: How Georgia approach counters Texas talent, works to thrive in hype shadows
While I’m not a big fan of Cowherd, I liked his take on Texas.
Re: Georgia football bowl projections forecast a return to the College Football Playoff
As last year certainly proved out (4 for 4 of the semi-finalists in last years CFP)… hosting a first round game at home is not a bad thing…can we just get that 7th seed guaranteed now please?
An even bigger advantage, not playing in a conference championship game and still receiving a first round home game…(looking at you Bucknuts and Gold-domies)

Re: Georgia football lands 3 on all-time All-American team, Herschel Walker, Brock Bowers 1st team
2 of the greatest at UGA ever
Re: Georgia football lands 3 on all-time All-American team, Herschel Walker, Brock Bowers 1st team
Bo Jackson, Earl Campbell, Walter Payton, Roosevelt Leaks, Garrison Hearst, Frank Sinkwich, Charlie Trippi, Reggie Bush, Charles White, Ricky Williams, Yada, Yada, Yada. Lol
Wasn't Kevin Butler an All American kicker? Do they even know how many clutch kicks that kid made? Lol. Hell…he's partially responsible for UGA's early '80's run.
And, as far as I'm concerned....you can put Champ Baily's name up there twice. Once for Special Teams & All Around player, as well as DB. He was a FG Blocking Specialist.
What about [Lol].....Jake Scott & Bill Stanfill? Ahhh....nevermind. Lol
Go get em 2025 Georgia Bulldogs. Put your names on the next list.
Re: Georgia football lands 3 on all-time All-American team, Herschel Walker, Brock Bowers 1st team
I know there could be only four running backs on the two deep. But Bo Jackson was something else.
Ron Simmons at Florida State was a beast of a linebacker.
I’m okay with Vince Young, but Tebow? He had heart and grit in the body of a bull. But no way was he the best quarterback ever. I saw Tebow and Dan Marino both play. Not even close. Some of the late 90s, early 2000s Miami quarterbacks like Testaverde come to mind. Elway. Plunkett. There were so, so many better quarterbacks than a fullback taking snaps under center.
Re: Georgia football lands 3 on all-time All-American team, Herschel Walker, Brock Bowers 1st team
I agree, about LT...among others. Lol. But, decided....once I saw the QB's on the list, not to even bother.
Like you, I just laughed. Then Again...It seemed so absurd...I couldn't resist. Had to go ahead and tho' in a couple of cents, out of boredom. Lol
Tebow & Young over any of the QB's in the '83 draft…or Joe Namath, Fran Tarkenton. You know what?....I can think of 10 quarterbacks off the top of my head...that were better.
But...that's MY opinion....and, Everybody has one. This seems to be just that...."an opinion-based list" designed to draw hammer heads like us out to debate it. Lol...when're we gonna learn.
Re: Georgia football lands 3 on all-time All-American team, Herschel Walker, Brock Bowers 1st team
I agree, Tebow was a great college QB, but still not the best the past 100 years,. When I saw that I laughed. I also wondered how you put Chris Spielman ahead of LT. Spielman was no doubt a great LB, but LT was an absolute beast to stop. He's still 1 of my all time favorite players from the past, so i may be a little biased. Same goes for Thomas Davis, and Mike Singletary..2 more excellent LB's that were overlooked.

Re: How Georgia approach counters Texas talent, works to thrive in hype shadows
Georgia has very little pressure on the team this season. Too many unknowns. Expectations are all over the board for the Dawgs. We're expected to do well, as usual, but what that is exactly is anyone's guess. Everyone has their own take on this season. But the Dawgs will be fine, however the season unfolds. Kirby will get the most he can out of this team. The Dawgs are an elite college football organization.
No, the spotlight is on Texas, which is good. But Texas hasn't proven anything, and the Dawgs took care of them twice last season. The Texas hype train has left the station, and Sark has got a lot to prove this season. Glad we're not in his shoes.
Re: Georgia OL putting together an encouraging fall camp: âItâs fourth and one every dayâ
IF and again IF these guys can play at a pretty good level on a Consistent basis then I think we’ll be hearing people say How Bout Them Dawgs !! I’d dearly Love to see them play at Elite level, but honestly based on last year I’d settle for “ pretty good” as long as they are Consistent at pretty good from game to game. Go Dawgs !!
