Re: Everything Kirby Smart said as Georgia football moves on to Week 2
Lots of good tidbits here. I'll address two things, though: I know it was "garbage time," and the play selection was limited, but to my old eyes, the only thing Stockton has over Puglisi is experience in the offensive system. In terms of talent, I think they're equal. Puglisi may even be more talented. He certainly looked confident and assured when he played, and he made some nice passes. Based on what I saw, I wouldn't be "scared to death" if he had to play in high-stress games this year.
Secondly, as for the fans, just like the team doesn't play an all-Power 4 (or 5) schedule, fans are the same way. if the team is not going to face top-level competition in every game, fans won't be top level for every game, either. If Kirby wants a full house at every game, schedule a Miami, a Notre Dame, a Penn State, an Oregon for EVERY (non-SEC) home game. If you're going to schedule Marshall University, you're going to get a Marshall University turnout.
Re: Georgia football injury report: Kirby Smart provides the latest on OL situation, Daylen Everette
All I can say is if we are depending on true freshman Juan Gaston on the O-line then we are in more trouble than I thought when it comes to talent and depth for this group…
