Re: ESPN analyst says Georgia passing offense could be âeven less threateningâ in 2026
Is this an anti-Bobo thread? If so, Kirby is Bobo's boss.
I'll keep Bobo, and Kirby, thank you.
You gonna replace both of them with who?
Go, Dawgs!

Bill has a point, but only time will tell. Kiby has complained about the lack of explosive plays ad nauseum. As long as we have a balanced, effective offense that moves the ball as needed then I'm pretty happy. We definitely need more explosive plays that are a threat to a defense, and it's too early to say whether these new receivers and better use of our TEs will provide that downfield threat. I'm certainly ready to limit the use of WR screens and short dunks that really don't work well most of the time. With Branch and Jones gone, hopefully that play will be put at the end of the playbook. If Gunner can't start regularly stretching the field vertically by now, he's never going to do it in his college career.
Re: ESPN analyst says Georgia passing offense could be âeven less threateningâ in 2026
We all know who/what the real issue is. The lack of explosive plays will continue to compound on itself as long as the current OC/playcaller is at the helm. Hmm…wonder why no explosive plays when every third call was a screen and, in the rare event we did attempt an explosive play it was usually a low percentage trash fade to the sideline. Couple this terrible play calling with the fact that we will never get truly elite QBs or WRs to come to Georgia because of this OC and you’ve got yourself a routine first round playoff exit every year. Kirby compromising on this hire has stunted what could have been one of the truly great runs in college football history.

I just SMH when I saw CMB run 180 lb Phillips into the line on a dive play in the spring game. I don't think he knows which players are in the game when he makes play calls.
I do think the UGA O has a chance to improve this season for a lot of reasons. CKS and CMB should open up the playbook for a more experienced GS. More experienced GS should be able to find more secondary receivers and use more of the field. The TE room potential is much higher than last year. The WR room potential seems higher overall than last year. '25 too much reliance on ZBranch1. Though CJ Wiley was a disappointment. He looked more like Matt Landers than George Pickens. UGA has had and will have multiple OL selected high and play well in the NFL the last few years. Yet they play poorly at UGA. New OL coach should improve OL play. If Frazier can get healthy UGA has a better RB room than last year.
Connelly is a national writer/commentator. He looks at stat's and game outcomes. Safe to say that most everyone commenting on Dawgnation knows more about UGA football than Connelly does.
CKS talks about "explosives" a lot. But he doesn't allow his QB's to take any chances and doesn't often call those types of plays. It will be interesting to watch how much of a leash coaches give GS this season.
Based on the play of back up QB's it will be interesting to watch how much GS is allowed to run this year. Should GS get hurt running, based on back up QB play, the season…….
