These coaches and fans will learn that money doesn’t buy loyalty. Outbidding another team for a player doesn’t guarantee that he will stay there, especially when times get hard or somebody offers more money. Smart doesn’t just understand the business side he also understands that competition at every position is important. Last year KS talked about having four scholarship QBs, there was a reason for that. QB is the most expensive NIL position and he didn’t want to be held hostage by that position. Lamaleava had a contract/agreement, he just decided it wasn’t enough.

I hate NIL. Even when it hurts my opponent. Student athletes negotiating one year “contracts”. What a complete, not-funny joke it has become.
