Re: What to really look for with QB Ryan Puglisi and the Georgia QB competition on G-Day
Some of us poor fools who can't make it to Athens can only read about the action. Come on GPB—step up to the plate and televise it. You have the facilities, the equipment, and the means of distribution. I'm sure people would rather see UGA's spring game than a commentary on how I-75 has affected everyday life in Adel !!
Re: What to really look for with QB Ryan Puglisi and the Georgia QB competition on G-Day
The more you read about the QB room, the more I'm not worried about that side of the game. I hope this kid waits his turn, because it sounds like he will be dynamic for uga.
Re: Noah Thomas shares how Georgia football was able to pull him away from Texas A&M
I could be wrong, sure wouldn’t be the first time. But I have a good feeling about our receivers unit !! I think they’re gonna be Much better than last year. Now if we can get the RBs juiced up and consistency from the O Line look out here we come !! Go Dawgs !!

Re: Ryan Puglisi believes the Georgia QB competition is real and that he can win it
QB1 GS has a higher risk for injury due to his expectation to run more than previous UGA QB's. Running is part of what gives him an advantage over his competition.
That mandates that CKS brings in a QB with experience during the spring TP. CKS will not try to lead a playoff team in '25 with RPuglisi as QB1 and WO Ginn at QB2 should GS get injured and RMontgomery not be ready to go post ACL.
They only way you see extensive playing time by RPuglisi in '25 is if GS gets hurt and the experienced QB that CKS brings in flops.

Re: Georgia football legend originated spring game idea, Kirby Smart, Josh Brooks weigh in
Football fans and football teams need something in the spring to enjoy, compete and compare. I know a lot of you young whipper-snappers never got to enjoy it, but something reminiscent of the old Georgia/GA Tech freshman game comes to mind. It was a blast in it's day and gave football starved fans a good look at all the new talent.
Re: Georgia football legend originated spring game idea, Kirby Smart, Josh Brooks weigh in
Some type of scrimmage would be great for the FANS that are continually being left out and left behind due to all of the latest decisions in college football. The only question would be how would this work as far as which team hosts the scrimmage. Would a team like Georgia want to host every year or would teams alternate so there wouldn’t be a G-Day every other year? Lots of other questions need to be considered.
Re: Georgia football legend originated spring game idea, Kirby Smart, Josh Brooks weigh in
Good idea but someone has to be first. Two coaches and two AD don't need the NCAA to initiate this. Just go and do it and apologize later. That seems to be the tact in the era were now living in.
Re: Georgia football legend originated spring game idea, Kirby Smart, Josh Brooks weigh in
That would certainly be awesome, but I doubt it will ever happen. Between risk of injuries, travelling and logistics I doubt anyone would go for it. The fact that the G Day game is no longer televised and other teams aren't having it tells you EXACTLY where we are at right now.
What College Football needs to do is to have the Transfer Portal OPEN AND CLOSE before the Scrimmage games so that talent can't be poached. Then, let allow players to freely "opt out" of the game if there are worries about injuries and such.
My daughter has become a huge NFL fan and I admit that pre-season games in the NFL are poorly attended because they are kinda boring without the stars, BUT it'd be different for college football as even 2nd and 3rd string players have a real chance of playing this year and many will absolutely be starting next year.
Re: Asa Newell declares for NBA Draft following standout freshman season at Georgia
Form what I saw of Asa Newell He could have used another year of CBB. He was a good player but not a dominant player.
Re: What to really look for with QB Ryan Puglisi and the Georgia QB competition on G-Day
The key……"slow the game down, but make quick decisions"……that leads to the next key for a championship season, always do the unexpected. Why not use both Gunnar and Pugs…..on the surface, opposition HC's and DC's are going to expect run plays/short passes from Gunnar and long accurate passes from Pugs. Using both to mix up and thwart the expectation to the point that only our offense knows what the play will be despite the QB….slows the game down by making the defense overly cautious, increases the accuracy of passes both long and short, allows the element of surprise for the running game for both RB's and QB's and it limits the injury exposure to both QB's. Both QB's are becoming elite, why not use them as opportunities present themselves?
