Re: David Pollack gives blunt thoughts on current Georgia offense: âIt wonât be prettyâ
I don't remember Pollack ever being positive about the Dawgs since he left. Hell, Tebow is more supportive. More of that Alabama awe that Pollock has spit out before. It's going to be more challenging without Drew, he's really improved as the year progressed. I believe that Cortez, Malachi and Donnie will gain important experience. As we say...next man up for the playoffs.
Go Dawgs!!!
Re: David Pollack gives blunt thoughts on current Georgia offense: âIt wonât be prettyâ
Whenever you have to replace a key member of the line half way through a game, its going to have a major impact for THAT game. But with the week of practice our new center will have, I am not that concerned.
Re: David Pollack gives blunt thoughts on current Georgia offense: âIt wonât be prettyâ
I'm no expert, but I think Georgia totally played not to lose on Saturday. That isn't to say that losing Bobo didn't have an impact, but maybe they schemed around Bobo for Toliver to keep from overwhelming him.
Last year, Bobo filled in when the starting center (I forget his name) left the Alabama game and did a good job…in fact, I thought he was better than the starter.
Toliver is 6'-5" and 320, so his size at least is comparable to Bobo. Actually, on UGA's roster, he's listed as 15 lbs. heaver.
I expect Toliver has been getting some good reps in this week, and maybe Bobo and Kirby have been able to scheme for Bobo being out.
If the 2nd half defense from the Alabama game shows up, they'll have a tough time scoring more than they did last time.
Re: David Pollack gives blunt thoughts on current Georgia offense: âIt wonât be prettyâ
I sense a little hyperbole here. Sure it is a critical injury, but football is the ultimate team sport right? It will cost a few points, but to basically imply the season is over without Bobo is a little much. As far as the performance vs the GT defense…it helps when they know what plays are coming. I really feel like they sacrificed a win vs Pittsburgh and perhaps a spot in the playoffs by focusing too much on beating UGA. With that all said, the Dawgs defense will definitely be relied on heavily against Bama and I hope they bring it.

anyone ever think that DP could be pointing out a concern while also providing bulletin board material to motivate his former team? I’d prefer that to just a homer.
Re: David Pollack gives blunt thoughts on current Georgia offense: âIt wonât be prettyâ
As bad as I want the TEs to show out, I think they need the big TEs to help block the line.
Maybe they can scheme something with big Elyiss though.
Re: Gunner Stockton is gunning for glory against Alabama in SEC championship game
I think you're right… putting all the other stats aside, "elite" means leading your team and winning, full stop. There have been plenty of "high stats" QBs who might have elite personal numbers, but not elite results. Also, "elite" in college doesn't necessarily translate to the pros. See Aaron Murray (as previously mentioned) and Tim Tebow… gator or not, I think he was without question elite in CFB.
Re: David Pollack gives blunt thoughts on current Georgia offense: âIt wonât be prettyâ
well maybe we need to throw a bit more to TE's and lay off the numerous screen passes. Possibly run off tackle instead of up the gut. Not throw down field into double coverage quite as much. Just some thoughts that might ease his loss a bit.

Ha, yeah I feel that way often with his posts about UGA game picks.
