Re: Houston/fla basketball game was atrocious
Yeah, I'm not that big of a basketball fan anymore. I was a Sun's fan in the 70's when I lived out West. Epic battles with the Sonics. That was fun.
That said, I'm not a big fan of the three. Give me a drive to the basket any day. Battle under the boards for a rebound? Yes.
They got the three point rule wrong. Reward a drive to the basket. That's exciting and worth 3 points. A long-range shot goes in? Boring. That should be worth 2 points.

Re: Houston/fla basketball game was atrocious
I don't watch enough basketball to have an opinion on the refs, however the overall gameplay was terrible. Seems like the goal is to just run down and throw up a 3 pointer as quickly as possible. No set plays in the paint. No clock management. Nobody crashes the boards after a shot. I was amazed at how many times the shooting team would run back on defense as the ball was in the air…like they assumed it would go in. Offensive rebounds are almost non-existent. the game has changed…and not in a good way.

Re: Just curious...
NIL deals are considered outside the payments as long as the company has no existing relationship with the school. So, for instance, Delta would be out in terms of individual NIL deals.
Until the final decision comes out next week, I believe donors can make contributions but they would go into the larger pot to be divided. You can purchase items directly related to a specific player's NIL deals, etc.

Re: Asa Newell declares for NBA Draft following standout freshman season at Georgia
Do we need to look for a basketball league that plays 3 on 3?
