Re: Ryan Puglisi choosing a different path at Georgia as fellow 2024 quarterbacks hit transfer portal
Millender ain't too shabby himself..that'll be a fun competition to watch between Puglisi, Montgomery, and Millendrr after Gunner is gone. If the DAWGS can keep all 3 and not lose any to the portal. Colter Ginn is also a pretty good QB, dont count him out either.

Re: Kaiden Prothro: 4-time state champ wraps historic career and is off to UGA
Wasn't it West Rome that won four in a row in the 80's?
Re: Kaiden Prothro: 4-time state champ wraps historic career and is off to UGA
Off topic but…Speaking of Lincoln County, a flash from the past came to mind, a little scatback who signed up in 1989 and played for the Dawgs from 90 to 92 and was a first round top3 NFL pick by the Phoenix Cardinals…what a career Garrison Hearst had. RBU alive and well…

“Just playing my last high school game with my teammates, who I grew up with. Just the people I love. My teammates. My coaches.”
For us ole school guys, this is music to our ears. All of us who have been “in the huddle” with our buddies, the friendships that last for a lifetime are invaluable. This young man seems to get that. That’s the kind of players you want on your team. Yes, talent is extremely important, but attitude is also important. Kaiden should be a DGD.
Re: Why Georgia College Football Playoff championship hopes start at the top
Kind of hard to figure out what the basis is for SEC coaches rate to the 100 win threshold…for instance Nick Saban's first 100 wins as an SEC Coach being in 118 games makes no sense, he notched his 100th win IN THE SEC after his 127th game as an SEC Coach (LSU/Bama) - 48-16 at LSU followed by 6-6 (including 4w that he had to forfeit), 12-2, 14-0, 10-3 equals 100 wins in 127 games even if we give him credit for the 4 forfeited wins. I'm confused. Kirby's tally is clearly 100 in 117, all at UGa, and the Ol Bourbon coach got his 100th in 120 at FU…same with Fulmer at the other UT. What am I missing here?

You really had to dig deep to try and diminish what is an undeniably impressive stat. That tells me you’re not celebrating Kirby’s success, you’re looking for ways to argue he isn’t as good as Saban or Spurrier. But here’s the reality: in 117 games, Kirby Smart reached 100 wins faster than any SEC coach — faster than Saban, faster than Spurrier, faster than Bryant, Holtz, Fulmer, Kiffin, and the long list of legends who’ve walked these sidelines.
Yes, every coach inherits different circumstances. Spurrier and Saban rebuilt rosters, Kirby inherited talent — but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s maintained excellence, built an elite program, and proven he can run an organization at the highest level. In 2017, Tyler Simmons wasn’t offsides, but history doesn’t give Kirby that Natty. What history does give him is the best record through 117 games of any SEC coach ever.
That’s not a stat you can hand‑wave away. It’s a testament to how good Kirby is at coaching young men, building culture, and sustaining success. And whether you want to nitpick circumstances or not, the numbers speak for themselves — and they are worthy of praise.
Re: Ryan Puglisi choosing a different path at Georgia as fellow 2024 quarterbacks hit transfer portal
As was the case with Raiola, the Curtis defection will be a blessing in disguise. Raiola went to four different high schools and now bolts Nebraska after two years. The guy just doesn't want to stay put and develop. UGA QB's may not be flashy, but they are developmentally sound.
Re: Details emerge follow Walmart shoplifting arrest of 2 Georgia football players
I'm not convinced they stole anything, but, then again, the reporting has not been very good, and the facts are not within my sight.
Innocent until we know more? That's how I see it.
Yes, wrong is wrong. Yes, punishments must be proportional. Yes, our legal system is all screwéd up.
Remind me not to use Walmart's self check out. Never! It's also possible you won't catch me at Walmart to remind me, but occasionally needs must.
Go, Dawgs!
