Re: anyone out there?
I think what I miss most as it pertains to sports coverage locally, is the quality of the sports writers . In the Atlanta area growing up we had Jesse Outler, Furman Bishop , Lewis Grizzard , Mark Bradley, Jeff Schultz and Steve Hummer just at the AJC .And no offense to Dawg Nation or the gazillion podcasts but the writing is not the same. Don't get me wrong I find Brooks Austin and Josh Pate entertaining as hell but still miss the writing.

Re: Do You Have A Lingering "Cold"?
Dang bro, that sounds terrible and a little unusual/concerning.
Try a spoonful of turpentine & sugar. If it won’t cure you, it will kill you.
My Granny use to give me & my brothers that stuff growing up. I hated it, but it worked. Kinda like duct tape, it worked on everything.
But if you do decide to try it, consult with your Dr. first, cause you didn’t read it here..😏.
Unlike a bacterial, those viral illnesses are hard treat, as there are no medications that will speed the recovery that can be given…just OTC stuff & probably plenty of water.
Hope you feel better soon.
Re: Do You Have A Lingering "Cold"?
I've had a cold for about a week now. First cold I can recall in over 30 years. If course, my memory isn't elephant like. Feels like it's gotten better, but still have an occasional cough and congestion.
Get better!!
Re: Donteâ Wright: Why the 5-star UGA commit now has three schools on his mind
I think it’s now a marketing ploy to say “commit” for some because then it STARTS the bidding, especially for UGA- we are a huge draw but teams know they can possibly outbid us- and so do players. They “commit” to us and then price goes up- 🙄
Re: Donteâ Wright: Why the 5-star UGA commit now has three schools on his mind
I know I'm gonna sound like an old fart but I really don't think these kids saying they're committed means a thing anymore. Another team is gonna show up with more money and they're gone. It used to be fun to hear these promises and start thinking about football before practice even started. Now you don't know who is gonna be on the team until games start.
Re: 91 - 80…..
They seem capable of scoring. Which would give them a punchers chance I guess against anyone.
I think Kasey is probably right the Dawgs get bounced in Round 1. Still worth paying attention every year a few schools get some lucky breaks and advance.
Georgia basketball used up a lot of luck\karma winning the 2008 SEC Tournament. Remember that one? Georgia was 4-12 that year in the regular season. Then won the tournament. Tornado hit the Georgia Dome. Coach kept his job. Was unreal.
Maybe Georgia is due for a little good luck again?
Re: Donteâ Wright: Why the 5-star UGA commit now has three schools on his mind
NIL money shouldn't be allowed until they take the field and contribute. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami dangles a fairy tale out there for him.
Re: anyone out there?
As I am merely just a Georgia Bulldogs fan, I do know that I don't know what I don't know… but I still DO firmly believe in UGA HC Kirby Smart, and the entire UGA coaching staff, the UGA organization, and the UGA football team too. Georgia has exactly what it takes to stay up and "in the conversation" of being a perennial contender for the CFP (college football playoff) each and every single year. I am very excited as Georgia has won the SEC Championship for two straight consecutive seasons, and going up against historically two great programs in beating both the Texas Longhorns, AND also the Alabama Crimson Tide too. Of course I am disappointed just like anyone else that Georgia lost to Notre Dame two years ago, and then they lost to Ole Miss this past season in two straight Sugar Bowl games. Nevertheless, I STILL DO FIRMLY believe that our Georgia Bulldogs could "WIN IT ALL" for this up coming 2026 season. GO DAWGS!!!!

Re: Donteâ Wright: Why the 5-star UGA commit now has three schools on his mind
He is just setting up a bidding war. The highest will not be UGA. Only hope is if he really wants to here. I said here before to go after 4 stars that want to do it the Kirby way and quit messing with these uber expensive stars that we have no real chance at.
