LSU's defensive backs coach. Very well-respected. Meeting with Kirby today. Can we get him?

    I'll take him.

Didn't LSU consider themselves "DBU" this year?

Is he interviewing for the DB coach or the Defensive Coordinator position?

The tweet says DB coach, but it could have been a typo.

This would be awesome. What kind of chances are we talking here?

I hope we land him, but there is a fair chance he is just using this to get a big new contract with LSU. We will see.

Most likely the case but the fact he is coming in says something.

And look at the product we have that he can coach......Hmmmm.

Yea it seems as if our DC search is super quiet.

Offer him codc 750k and make dan lanning other co dc at 750k. Mel made 1.5 million last year would be a wash. Kirby will allways be man in charge of the d anyway. We need best position coaches we can get. I would love every d coach we got with this hire.

This is a very interesting development. I hope we can land him in some capacity, whether it be DC or DB's coach.

Don’t think so. Would be quite the catch if so.

Raymond is an LSU alum. Just built a house in Baton Rouge I am told.

Let’s see if this goes farther than the Get-A-Coach-A-Bigger-Deal-To-Stay-Home phase.

Ouch! Thanks for blowing our party.......JK sigh.....

I wouldn't be concerned about the housing situation. He can still keep the house in BR if he plans to retire there. I don't think we can just offer him a lateral move and $250K. Seems logical we'd have to offer him the DC position to entice him to leave his alma mater.

Lsu is not a very wealthy program tho. I remember when they hired coached O. Seems like they went with him cause they could get him pretty cheap.

Good intel, Jeff. Not what I wanted to hear, but... fingers crossed

I’ve read that he may not be very happy with the Busch hire and may not be “Aranda’s guy”...maybe he feels under appreciated?

With LSU’s track record of DB’s and our need for a DB coach and DC it seems like the perfect fit. If he’s not being considered for both it really makes me wonder who CKS wants to have be the DC. I’m not doubting him, just growing more curious by the day.

Then we'd be RBU AND DBU!
