I prefer the OWA to the 12 year because of the higher proof.
A glass of Old Overholt with jerk pork burritos.
I’m a Woodford guy. But the Weller is not bad at all for the money. I’ve searched high and low for a Van Winkle. Had my name on waiting list. I was third on list. He was only able to purchase 2 . Small batches make it very limited, Great find for you @tfk_fanboy ! Enjoy!!
Where can you get Van Winkle for $600? The place near me in Morningside gets $1000, $1200, and $1500 for the 3 grades.
Titos is the “cash cow” of the **** market. We run thru about 40 bottles a weekend with it being on call. Ponds 299 is our well and everybody calls Titos at the higher price. Its ALL MARKETING.
@tfk_fanboy What did you pay for the McKenna 10yr?
I dig a little Whiskey/Bourbon, nothing spectacular in my small collection but it's what I like....
Love my v.o.d.k.a as well. When money is real real tight, I'll grab some tito's or even some Dixie V.o.d.k.a. Mostly I stick with Grey Goose or Belvedere though.
Anybody that know's marketing has put Tito's on as a top shelf v odka. The brand is the hottest selling in the US. It really is a good v odka that started pushing the likes of Belvedere and Grey Goose a few years ago. It has jumped over Absolute and others by leaps and bounds. Really it boils down to who knows what they prefer and like to drink. Bar Drinks.... Rot Gut for $4-5, Tito's for $6-7, Grey Goose for $8-12. Others possibly higher, but why?
I prefer Woodford Reserve or if you really want a smooth taste try Eagle Rare. Darn good stuff.
Just picked up 2 bottles of Bib and Tucker today. Anybody know where to find some Blantons?
those prices are generally for the pappy
old van winkle comes in 10 and 12 lot b, they are relatively cheaper
but I only paid $70 for mine because I got lucky in the local store
$30
used to be cheaper but price is going up. I hear some stores are charging $40-$50. which it is better than many in that price range
another that used to be so easy to find, I have not seen in several months
love my bourbons
Weller, EH taylor and Blantons are my main 3
