image'The Next Deandre Baker' seems like a good fit -- for now

Eric Stokes has been described as “the next Deandre Baker,’ and as much as players hate comparisons, that actually seems pretty fair -- at least, for now. If you’re not familiar with Stokes, he seemingly rocketed out of nowhere towards the end of last season as Georgia’s cornerback, and has had a meteoric rise of

I think that's pretty cool how coach tuck saw something in stokes and convinced him to come to Georgia

Stokes will be a star. If Campbell hasn't improved, however, he will lose the other corner job to DJ Daniel.

It’s shows that recruiting service don’t always get it right. Solomon is another example of talent that didn’t get much recognition from the services but came in with a chip on their shoulders and proved everyone wrong. I think that CKS and staff are a great judge of talent and most importantly character, then developing that talent. Go Dawgs!!

Yeah, I agree with how the players feel. I hate the comparisons. This guy is going to be the next Eric Stokes, for better or for worse. Eric has shown he can play the corner spot and will leave his own legacy hopefully. Go Dawgs!

Almost every time he's been in a game he's seemingly come up with a clutch play. He's everywhere at all times it seems. The ceiling is high and getting higher for Stokes.

I can't wait to see E Stokes this season, if he is half the player D Baker was then we have a gem.

I hate seeing any person labeled as the next anything. Not to mention in my mind Baker was not good enough to label the next person up the next baker. Its a long jump from Deandre Baker to a Champ Baily in talent level

Baker is a good player but is not a special guy he is a system guy …….Stokes actually shows more of a knack to grab the balls that are in his area and seems to be standing in the right place where errant passes sometimes just come straight to him
