Certainly not condoning domestic violence, but why file a police report if not wanting to press charges? Rather than re-re-re-rehashing the same old details from the police report, has an attempt been made to interview the victim to get a better understanding of her perspective? Perhaps that's the difference between a blogger and a journalist.
I am very proud of Kirby for taking a stand against domestic violence !!! My understanding was the law was changed to where the victim didn't have to press charges when there was no doubt domestic violence had occurred. It doesn't really matter to me when it happened ! It did & that's all there is to it !!!
Case Closed. Move on.
UGA and Smarts staff should have looked into and suspended him when he choked and hit her.
The only reason he is kicked off the team is he was caught (she went to the police) other than that CKS was planning to let the kid play and it go unpunished
Hope Hollaman learns something from this. Tough act to pay up against however its better to happen now and learn from it and improve your self control than for it to go unchecked and cost someone a life one day
Where did you see or hear that Kirby and his staff knew of the incident prior to the police report being filed a year afterwards?
