Georgia expecting big things from 6-foot-5 grad transfer Lawrence Cager
Georgia grad transfer Lawrence Cager brings size and experience to a young and inexperienced receiving corps, and offensive coordinator James Coley is counting on him

The saying "good things come to those who wait" seems fitting. Cager's story is a good one, Chaney is gone, Fromm is the starter, our OL looks like it's there, Zeus is healthy. I think this offense is ready to blow people away.
I know a lot of Bulldog Nation is pulling for Cager and all of the new receivers to have a big season.
With Fromm as the unquestioned starting QB, I think this is a good setup. Last year provided too many distractions.
Will Coach Coley trust the new receivers and turn them loose August 31 against Vandy? Even though UGA led the SEC in rushing last year, when they were in the red zone they struggled. You have to make defenses respect the pass, that way the pas or run is an option on almost every play. Chaney's offense was too predictable, 7 rushing tries against the Gators near the end zone, and they had to settle for a field goal. LSU and Texas and their stunting lineman and linebackers kept the running backs hemmed up, because of the predictable offensive play calls. Yes, most of the receivers are inexperienced, but how do you expect them to get experience, if you don't sling the rock their way sometime. Cager is experienced, but so is D-Rob, come on Coach Coley, turn the Dogs Out, let em go!
If he masters the playbook and also is a good blocker he should get a lot of playing time. I surely hope that's going to be the case as he's a hugely valuable addition. We need his experience, and he looks to have all the attributes we need him to have.
Welcome to UGA, and the best of luck.
Go, Dawgs!
He seems like a Javon Wims' clone. 6'5," 4.4 - 40 yd dash, 40" vertical jump, high character. Let's pray he can block, else he finds himself on Demetris Robertson's 2018 seat on the bench...
