Well Fromm has lost control of the offense. Send him to the portal and let him pkay for Auburn.

Or, this says hopeful things about our depth at defense. Our d-line has been a question all last year. Maybe they are stepping up with fresh blood.

Are we going to do this all season again, stretch quotes and isolated incidents in an effort to create a QB controversy where there isn’t one?

Perhaps this is nothing more than Kirby intentionally not mentioning his name because journalist take it and run with it each and every time he does?

Wow, about a week into camp and the offense is not in mid-season form. Alas, this is a lost year, no hope for improvement. Has anyone seen Chicken Little?

Fromm looked pretty average in the spring game, as well as the Sugar Bowl before that. I hope Coley hasn't created an offense that doesn't play to Fromm's strengths...

Every year a D-I Football team goes through something of "an Identity Crisis" where the players and coaches have to get in synch and on the same page.

UGA has a new OC and a new DC with new starting players-play calling and different coaches to mesh together.

Last season and some of the key players are long gone...and new guys need to step in and up and guys have to execute and trust each other.

All of that takes time and practice repetition....sometimes the wrong guys are playing early in the season and need to be replaced once their weaknesses become evident in games. Mental mistakes or poor execution with all of the moving parts and a new plays being sent in from a new OC can cause problems.

QB's and new WR's take time to get to know and trust each other...and a cut off route here or there or a miscommunication for an audible can throw a lot of problems at an Offense in a pressure situation.

When Notre Dame arrives on September 21st...they will have entire squads and players who have played the exact same Offense and Defensive Schemes for the past three seasons and can establish a "one heart beat/one mindset" type identity in a quicker and smoother fashion. That can be crucial in big games.

ND has also been recruiting players who fit both of these Offensive and Defensive schemes with tailored players who fit the skill sets for their positions and roles very well. They aren't just "great players" but they are great players who fit what the coaches need/looking for and will play well together and be a teammate...and not a "me first" type guy.

ND runs a very challenging up tempo---lightning quick decision RPO Offense and a specialized 4-2-5 scheme on defense and have been running it for three seasons now. The players and coaches and substitutes and play calling in game situations are all well established.

UGA has all of those gaudy 5 Stars and glamour style recruits...but it takes a unified team and a strong identity to beat another talented and tough opponent. Mental Toughness is often the tie breaker in Big Games...

We'll find out a lot on September 21st when ND shows up as an 11+ point underdog....we've been in this situation before.

Just maybe the defense had a little something to do with the way the offense performed? Just maybe that's something to get excited about? Just maybe Kirby didn't mention Fromm because he doesn't want this to be about one player? Just maybe! Always searching for something where something does not exist. Looking forward to an exciting season. Go Dawgs!
