Andrew Thomas is the latest in DawgNation's "Homegrown Talent" series during fall camp. The former U.S. Army All-American was one of Kirby Smart's biggest early home runs signings in his tenure at Georgia.

    Of course the Richt staff didn’t know who he was. He played on the OL

    Andrew Thomas has meant everything to our program. He has been a rock on the OL, and a model citizen. He will be the shining star in the NFL for the Pitboss, and OL recruits for years will know that he was trained at UGA by the Pitboss.

    "There was just Georgia.” That's a quote I'll remember. When we get young men with that mentality, we will do great things. I think what happened with a player that was even higher rated is a wonderful example of that sentiment, commitment and mindset being severely lacking.
